You call this "The Race for Superior Weapons"? Most teenagers know this rudimentary stuff. Where are all the Luftwaffe designs for air craft alone? Could have been much more interesting and informative .

Great documentary! My only issue with all the "wonder weapons" documentaries is this. The liquid fueled rocket was invented by an American Robert Goddard.
On a shoestring budget, too.
So what's your point? Have you seen a pic of the rocket Goddard flew?
The rocket Von Braun had to design dealt with issues far more complex than Goddard had to grapple with his million dollar funding he got from the Smithsomian thanks to.Lindberg.
Von Braun had a 30 billion Riechmark budget and a large organization of specialists in various disciplines .
Goddard was limited to.buildimg booster rockets for the US Navy.
The Nazis had superseded Goddards' research and took their research to the next level.
Von Braun, the SS Colonel, ended up heading NASA, not Goddard.
P.S. my apologies....Ididn't realize Prof Goddard had died in 1945. I remember reading years ago that he had looked at the V2 and thought the Germans had copied his rocket, but the author of that book said that Goddard had not understood the scale of the V2s achievement. Based on reading that I didn't realize the professor had died soon after. Which means he never lived to see the New York Times apology
