My battery just died in my HHR too. I paid $150 for mine at NAPA, only because that was what had been in it. Good review, I'd love to have the regeneration feature on my charger.
Yeah so far I am 2 for 2 on the bring back a dead battery with this charger. It takes time however it seems to work. I picked up my battery from Walmart Maxx T15 for a little over $100, comes with a 3 year warranty plus a 2 year extended one if you opt for it. Time will tell if its a good battery, its made by Johnson Control here in Milwaukee so I am hoping so.
So far it has only 2 of them but the one that won me over was the bike battery. I don't believe it works on AGM batteries however the manual does not say.
It's a great tool to have around for sure. I get aggravated at all this re-branding of tools but I guess that's what we have to expect now. No longer are companies going to put in the required R&D and tooling to make their own version of a tool that already works.
Just to get a clarification, when you want to jump-start the engine you hit the engine start button and let it run its 90-second charge then after 90 seconds you try and start the car with the charger still plugged in with cables still attached to the battery?
I checked the manual, it does not say, however since it says it works by sending quick charges to knock the corrosion off the plates I am guessing not. I looked for a AGM battery no one around here had one that would fit in the HHR so maybe next time.
According to Wikipedia you are correct. I did not know that. Well that sure explains that. :) It works well so far long term well we will see. I have mostly B&D power tools and have been happy with them so fingers crossed.
This one is worth considering however a trickle charger would be cheaper and smaller. However if you ever need engine start or battery recon this should do nicely.
This thing is a POS. It immediately goes to FLO on my battery telling me it has 13.3 Volts when the battery only has 10.7 Volts. The company, Baccus Global gives you a runaround and form letter answers about this defective junk. I saw one video of this thing smoking while hooked up to a truck battery. Dangerous and a lawsuit just waiting to happen. I hope it hasn't burned your house down yet.
Well so far its been just perfect and brought back 4 of 5 batteries and keeps the bikes topped off. Sorry you are having such a bad time with it. I will watch out for anything that maybe a problem however so far its been perfect and been working non-stop since I got it.
Mine is doing the same. I thought there was something shorted out in my van, drawing all the juice from the charger. I do have something draining my battery, but this charger really had me going crazy.
Yeah, I would love to have a proper battery charger the kind that shops use however I just don't have that kind of money and I don't believe they have the recondition feature so kinda glad I got this one assuming it lasts anyway.

I like the feature that it can recondition some of the batteries.

You have that nailed sadly it is the current state of things today.

I wonder if it would regenerate a AGM battery? I am going to watch for a sale.

Nice unit. My understanding is that B&D and Stanley are one in the same?

“FLO” probably means “float / trickle” charge.
Does the fan start when you turn on the battery? My starts right away. Im nit sure if that is a problem
Cool. I use a trickle charger on my forklift and it's getting some age on it. I'll have to get a new one soon.

100% accurate

Not bad for the money.

@@MidwestMotoRider when you use recondition, and its on for days does it eventually stop the reconditioning and go to charge?
My light has never turned off on mine.
Unfortunate
My light stays on as well.
This charger is nuts and a problem
