Told a friend dandelions were edible and he stuck a seeded one in his mouth and got fluff everywhere
@@crystal03marie dandelion leaves are edible straight out of the ground, but are commonly boiled like spinach. The yellow flower can be dried and used in tea. The fluffy flower at the end of it's life cycle doesn't have any practical uses afaik

Even more fun fact: Roses specifically are super edible, as long as they aren't treated with toxic pesticides [don't go buying roses from a supermarket and eating them]. Every part can be eaten, tho most people stick to the petals and fruits [known as rose hips]. They are even used in making a bunch of different things: Rose jelly, Rose liqueur [not to be confused with rose wine which is just a color of wine] Rose tea, rose soda
The elf ear comments made me think a “getting you ready for a ren faire/fantasy faire” role play could be fun, with like applying fake elf ears and wigs and makeup and stuff
