When over 40 protestors against illegal mining have been held for 48hrs without bail and access to a legal repressntative (and allegedly without food and water) and further remanded for 2 weeks in a maximum security prison like criminals; when amongst them are young lawyers, artists, pregnant women (allegedly), asthmatic patients and etc. makes it discomfortable listening to my most revered leader speaking on a world platform. What is more shocking is the United Nation quiet over the hell of illegal mining (mainly funded and benefitted from by the political elites) i am scared of a hopeless future approaching for the youth. In your hall are leaders with bloodied hands in wars and destruction of the environments of their countries, and the UN sits quiet. God help us all!
