@@UmbraShepard By slowing down, the saucer would also slowdown as the momentum would be demished. Cutting the saucer free at warp with no way of maintaining warp would be like it hitting a brick wall in space. Force and momentum are 2 different theories. Basic physics still apply in space, and none of the rudimentary laws of motion were used. But that's TV for you!
@@larrysmith937 Not necessarily. An Alcubierre drive is not based on velocity, but on a warp bubble passing through squished space. Being suddenly released from a warp field might come with its own problems, but momentum wouldn't be one of them.
@@admiralbob77 Exactly. As long as the saucer remained in the warp bubble, separating would be no problem---and I believe an object exiting an Alcubierre-White warp bubble exits with the same momentum and acceleration it had within the bubble.
I wonder if the other classes such as the Sovereign Class, Galaxy X, Excelsior class, etc. were capable of separating and reassembly like Galaxy class.
The Constitution class, the Original Enterprise, was able to separate as an emergency measure but it would have needed a major refit/repair at a starbase to be put back together. It couldn't do it under it's own power. The Galaxy X removed that ability in order to have a very powerful phaser lance run along the spine of the ship.

Which was more technologically advanced? The Enterprise or the Jupiter 2? Both were built around the same time. I think the Jupiter 2 was more advanced because it had a force field ability to ward off missiles and attacks.
That uniform was actually created for everyone to wear. Women usually wore it with high boots, men often wore it with regular boots and sometimes paired it with slacks or shorts.
O’Brien is a real one, literally from the first ep to the end of DS9
Picard: "Dead stop!"
Data: "Relative to what, sir?"
It is SO COOL to see the Enterprise separate into 2 (relatively) autonomous ships!
What I don't understand is how the saucer section could pull ahead of the star drive, it doesn't have warp engines, just impulse engines
They gave it enough force to get it out of danger

I believe they can. If you look at the Sovereign Class tech manual, it has a saucer separation ability.

The prometheus seperates into 3 parts

From what episode iz this from
TNG’s first episode, “Encounter at Farpoint”
😌😌
The Vulcan boy looks like he’s sulking, which is illogical as Vulcans do not show emotions
Vulcan children need to learn how to suppress emotion tho.
maybe it's a period they grow out of during adolescence kinda like human teens ha
They wrong for that skirt they made that man wear.
maby he likes it.

Man? Did you just assume gender 😨😯😯

We just saw an epic saucer separation with special effects that still hold up today and that's all you had to say about the scene. SMH 🤦♂️
