Jim McDonald Fan- Thank you very much for posting this. In many ways, I thought this storyline from early 2005 was rather strange in that Charlie Stubbs was a hero in his finest hour but yet was a villain himself. At the time the writers wanted to cover the theme of bullying. As nationally there was an anti-bullying awareness campaign going on at the time. I still remember the blue wristbands. Hollyoaks also covered the theme with their Ally and Mackie storyline during the summer of 2005.
I’m watching this storyline between Roy and Vince and I think that Vince is a total loser. Bullying someone weaker than yourself is nothing short of cowardice. Poor Roy was just completely out of his depth here. Sadly this is the reality of life, sometimes some nasty people will pick on someone considered different from themselves. It is however always possible to triumph over such individuals and let them know they can’t beat you!!!
Roy was actually more a weirdo in his very early days. But he went to the bosses and suggested they write him as autistic and the writers liked it and went with it.
I remember Roy Cropper was very different in his early appearances and he was quite dodgy and a weirdo creepy and stalker and he seemed confident and normal. But what year Roy gradually changed into a loveable buffoon autstic friendly guy exactly.
Roy my old Son, you Sir are lashing out,but you're lashing out at Children over a bar of chocolate. You need to be careful that the bullied doesn't become the bully. It happens It was natural for old wounds to come back and haunt you(I Know it's just a programme) but it cuts deep for some people.Getting bullied at home is the worst
Vince should have been kept around. He had potential. It's annoying when soaps take in great characters, and then they get rid of them. For example suzy branning in eastenders was brilliant and a great villain and they fired her.
If they made him a permanent character they might have ended up ruining him. Probably better to keep him as a short term fixture, so he didn't end up outstaying his welcome.
@leeroynozzaar charlie stubbs was in it a good while, though, and the actor quit. To be honest, Charlie was probably done by the time he left. What more could they have done with him? Villains have a shelf life. The actor was brilliant.
@leeroynozzaar the actor who played Charlie stubbs was driving supermarket delivery jobs in recent years. The actor who played spider was working in a cafe and the actress who played Lucy ( the last one before she was murdered) was working in a bar last I heard.
He is Bullying Roy Cooper because what he did on Rosie Webster and the rest but Vance is not Bullying because he is teach his manners to Roy Cooper I don't like Roy Cooper cry to his wife and moans
40p for a bag of crisps. Those were the days. Today's "grab bag" at the same size is like fucking £1.50 now
“There’s a man in my cafe, and he’s eating his own sandwiches”.. Crying 😂
😂😂😂
"THE SANDWICH POLICE!" 😂
Charlie Stubbs’ finest hour punching him.

That bully's an actul freak.
You're a freak for believing it's real
@plrzm8794 He is, though. He portrays a freak ever so well.
@Alwpiano he's paid to act like that you freaking retard
Charlie Stubbs standing up for an underdog. Before the writers made him evil 😂
Charlie Stubbs was always evil.
Poor Roy
Good quality, good storyline, better than last Vince video 👍
Vince need teaching a lesson
I think Roy's way more normal nowadays. So neurotic in the past.

The bully reminds me of les, especially in his early years.

Roy is being a massive bellend tbf to kick this off. Who pulls someone up for using a toilet?
A lot of cafes only allow paying customers to use their toilets
Haley is more of a man than Roy ever was and that’s after the banana peel
