Probably, It is a drama that mourns former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon, who committed suicide immediately after he was revealed to have sexually harassed his female secretary. Former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon is a former human rights lawyer and inaugurated mayor of Seoul as a member of the Democratic Party. As a human rights lawyer, he was once a respected figure in South Korea for his work for women's rights by defending women affected by sexual violence, but he sexually harassed female secretary while serving as mayor of Seoul. And when the female secretary filed a complaint with the police that she had been sexually harassed, Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon immediately suicide.
It was controversial how the female secretary's legal action fact was delivered to Park Won-soon in a day, and the investigation revealed that the women's rights organization, which female secretary asked for help in advance, leaked the information to Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon's subordinate under his direct control. In addition, his party, the Democratic Party, seemed to defend Mayor Park Won-soon, calling the female secretary a "person who complaine of damage" when the incident broke out. Lee Hae-chan, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, who visited Mayor Park Won-soon's funeral hall, answered to a journalist asking about Mayor Park Won-soon's suspicion of sexual harassment, "That's not courtesy. Do you call such a question courtesy in a funeral hall?" and even cursed the journalist, calling him a "bastard."
This incident happened in 2020, and when the Democratic Party was the ruling party of Korea. President Moon Jae-In had been actively supporting feminism and Victim-centeredness, saying he would become a 'feminist president' from 2017. But unlike before, when the Democratic Party and government propagated and supported feminism, many Democratic Party politicians disregarded feminism and victim-centered approach principles in the Park Won-soon case. So many Koreans were greatly disappointed by the hypocrisy of the Democratic Party, women's rights organizations, and the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, and they lashed out at it. Three years later, supporters of former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon are still campaigning to save Park Won-soon's honor, criticized the female secretary of being a 'gold digger' or ignoring her as if she didn't exist at all. I think this drama has that kind of intention.
For reference, actress Moon So-ri, who plays Oh Kyung-sook, the main character of the drama, is a big supporter of the Democratic Party of Korea.
