You said so many things about Madhuri all of which are true. I would like to add that Bollywood as an industry became more popular across India (and worldwide because of her). As a South Indian, if there was one factor that made me watch a Bollywood movie (in an unknown language to me as a kid, showcasing unfamiliar culture where the characters were not very relatable in most of the films), it was only Madhuri Dixit. If she did a Tezaab (very filmy film), her character and acting was relatable and struck a chord, so did her portrayals in Saajan, Beta, Dil, you name it. HAHK as a film is very unrealistic but Madhuri’s portrayal of Nisha was very real. There was something about her right from the young age that people never got bored of her. Not when she did so many movies with not so different or poorly written characters, not when she did hundreds of songs and not even after watching each one of those songs million times. Heck, people still die to see her live performances when she’s in her mid 50s. How many actresses enjoy such attention at this age!! Madhuri is just phenomenal.
There’ll never be another choreographer like Saroj Khan who impressed the need to express and emote in song. This song is just one example of that need. Just flawless

As someone from the Southern U.S. , I've only been watching Indian cinema for about 2 yrs. I much prefer the older films! They are on another level!!!! Plus , the new movies just don't seem to have the flair and beauty these do!
