@@johans3164 Their kid would probably be the strongest person ever, unfortunately. With Homelander, it made sense that he was isolated because he was so strong, and that isolation screwed him up and made him the way he is. With Stormfront, it seems like she just got lucky, being that powerful even though it was just a prototype serum, given to her as an adult. But I guess power corrupts, so the most powerful people were always going to be the most likely to turn evil, even if they didn't start out that way.
As for being weird, I'm not even sure this is weirder than what he had with Stilwell.

Homelander represents America/Trump. All that the show shows is simply what happened in reality. So racism moved into the White House with fakes and everything that goes with it. The show simply shows openly how everything works and intertwines.
Funny part is that Lamplighter is played by the same actor who was Iceman in the X-Men movies. A song of fire and ice as it were.
I gotta say I didn't even know that he had a twin. Lol
I love it! And his powers are the exact same as his movie nemesis Pyro (he can control fire, not make it)

Plot-twist: Homelander doesn't actually care about Maeve and her girlfriend, only whether or not she lied to him.
Maeve is paranoid that HL is planning to kill Elena. She already experienced that before.
@Schwanzus Longus I dont think so. Its a slow burn story arc but this will pay off in the last episode I believe. Maeve is going rogue just like Starlight.
@@mannylugz5872 Well, that is my entire point, we have no confirmation as to whether or not Homelander actually wants to kill Elena, only Maeves assumptions.
And further more we actually don't know if Homelander killed the other guy out of jealousy or because Maeve lied to him about what happened between them. =)

Every time Homelander apearse I can’t stop thinking how good actor he is. You actually feel the fear that everyone else in the show feels.

in terms of actions and spectacle, episode 3 is my fav. for character moments and plot development, episode 6 is my personal fav

I think this was the best episode of the season. Possibly of the show entirely.
I also wasn't surprised at all it was directed by a woman, given the tenderness of a lot of the moments and the way they were framed for that intention so well. A lot of moments that pulled at the heart-strings that made what otherwise might have been just "exposition dumps" into really meaningful moments.
I also gotta say 'Kudos' to the speed with which you guys got this video out lol

Now that they finally showed it in the show, I feel I should point out in the comic Compound V is insanely unstable, with a large number of people who develop superpowers not actually getting the requisite resistances to use them safely.
Only the very pure Compound V is stable in the comics. But it costs 19 billion dollars a shot. Most of the freaks we see are products of a diluted impure version of Compound V.
The Vought Studios logo looks like marvel studios so much.

My theory is that Stan Edgar IS Frederick Vaught! He’s got the same anti-aging powers as Stormfront mixed with the ability to take on different personas.
Why did he turned black? Even if he is white nobody will suspect him as Vought.
Manny Lugz maybe to appease the board of directors who wanted a diversity hire - they might not even know, he and Stormfront might be the only ones in on it 🤷🏻♂️
An on going theme of the show is "How do you control the supes?" In that asylum Vaught had a lot of them locked up and contained. Obviously some supes are more powerful than others but they were able to contain that Cindy, so there are ways to control at least certain types of them.

I love how this show perfectly incorporates modern issues into the story. Homelander and Stormfront being the perfect match is exactly what we're dealing with right now.
The part I couldn't understand was why Cindy and the others hadn't broken out of their cells earlier. She showed she could destroy those doors any time she wanted, the acid guy could melt them, there was even a super strong guy punching the walls but not the door. Normally they have some sort of "power blocking" technology in places like that, but they were shown using their powers inside their cells, just not on the doors. I thought maybe the visits from Stormfront kept them in line, but they still broke out anyway, just because one door came down? Weird.

Something a lot of people aren't mentioning is the blood running down Maeve's nose when she was talking to elena....just like the CIA agent in episode one! Just before her head exploded!

I love how this show manages to balance over-the-top, almost cartoonish violence & sexual content with genuinely realistic character development & sharp writing. Excellent series!
Oof it kinda feels like Stormfront wants to finish what the Nazi’s couldn’t do in WW2 in terms of genocide and ethnic cleansing, but with supes and that is absolutely terrifying.
When starlight mentions butcher as bully and comparing it to homelander makes me realise whether lander is his brother or something

Soldier boy who is a parallel to captain America helped defeat stormfront some how it if he didn’t directly the Germans were about to lose the war anyway then stuff goes into operation paperclip area I guess

It will be an avengers girl power moment for real when they get kimiko starlight and Cindy to team up and kill stormfront. Absorbs her lighting Cindy can survive it and kimiko needs revenge

Did you guys watch Futurama? Every time I see those Fresco's cans I remember the Slurm Factory episode so I keep thinking if that church put something on that drink to make people more complacent and obedient. I even wonder if it's not some type of liquid/ingredient produced by some Supe or something wicked like that.

There are no "good guys" in this show. Yeah Lamplighter killed those kids but at least it was unintentional. Let's not forget Butcher had no issue blowing up Stillwells baby intentionally at the end of last season and Homelander of all people saved it.

Yeah, me too! Ijust hope Lamplighter has a bigger role in the coming episodes and seasons. I really like his power, the way he snaps his lighter is just so cool! The actor is also doing a very good job portraying the miserable person Lamplighter is, and a murderer trying to find his absolution might serve quite nicely next to Billy Butcher.

Interesting how Stormfront made a point of telling Starlight that she will be very useful to her, and this ep showed that Starlight needs a source of electricity for her attack, the more electricity the more powerful her attact, Stormfront commands electricity , she could feed Starlight to create an attack that could possibly hurt even Homelander
If Starlight is going to be the one to kill Homelander, they´ll ruin the show.
