Idea for an LP: instead of following the story of one family, you follow the story of a house! starting out with a house and a family living in it you play them for a while until they decide to sell their home and a new family moves in! each time a new family moves in the house will of course be renovated, at least a bit to suit their taste/needs, and overtime you can see how the home evolves! and it would be fun to try out all different types of families!
I am not only a grandma, I am a GREAT grandma. I have an ipad, an iphone, and I build houses in Sims 4! I do collect a few things, so I am guilty of that, but my house is modern Spanish-style and not cluttered. It's a two-story house, and I climb those stairs two at a time. Keeps me young! I take photography and piano to keep my mind alert. I also drive a Corvette convertible. Yeah, crazy, I know!
My Granny passed away almost 8 years ago on my birthday. She lived with us my whole life. Maybe I'll make her in the sims and move her in this house when you upload it. It has a bunch of places to garden and that was one of her favorite things to do.
At my house we have a grandfather clock we call it the memory clock and if someone close to us passes away we put a picture of them in it because is like a key lock one and my grandmas picture is in it same with my dads
My grandparents live in a bungalow that looks typically elderly on the outside(😂) but then on the inside my Grandma has a really modern white & black granite kitchen and the house is always so clean she hates clutter, she's always throwing things away😂there's one room which she ignores which is my Grandads office, it's like his little room which he does everything in and it's super cluttered. They make me laugh😂 My other Grandparents are basically hoarders so I have two ends of the spectrum😂😂!💖
Sophie Dickinson My grandma lives in a log cabin in the mountains of southern California. She has 2 cats 1 dog and hoards teddy bears freaking every ware!
I live with my grandparents and you can't walk a foot in my house without spotting a single chicken themed item. I've never figured out the reason for her obsession and i dont think my grandma really has one lmao
Omg that's so weird, I live with my grand parents and my grandma loves chickens too! She had these statues and she put then on the cabinets, and she also had plates with chickens on them and a lot of other stuff (that I can't Remember because she took its all down a year ago) lol Edit: also sorry for my name my sister likes to take my stuff (she is 8) and she changed my name so many times I have to wait a couple months
Sarina Garcia At my grandparent’s old house my grandmother had a chicken themed kitchen! On top of the cabinets she had a bunch of porcelain chickens, there was one that was bending down and it looked as though he was looking at the chicken painting on the wall lol. Neither of my grandparents look or act that old which is kinda funny because I’m my opinion the chicken themed kitchen is such an “elderly lady” thing to do. Sadly when they moved into the new house that they just had built she got rid of the chicken themed kitchen. Now it’s more modern/contemporary with a few country-ish touches, as is the rest of the house, which is kind of sad in my opinion because the chicken kitchen had its own personality.
The craziest part about this is that I actually LOVE it more than the more modern builds bc it feels SOOOO much more cozy .... so sweet 💟 I feel like we’ve lost so much color & texture in homes now a days ... it looks sleek but loses is comfort in the process 🤷🏼♀️
This house reminds me of my grandparents' house. They raised my mom and her 4 siblings along the lake in a tiny community. It was a 4 hour drive just to get there but I loved it, still love it, so much. Sadly, however, they had to move into an apartment because my grandpa got sick. He passed away on July 1st, 2016, and his wife passed away on September 14th. Miss you guys so much. ❤️
My grandparents lived by a lake, they raised 3 kids there. My grandfather died before I could really make memories, but my grandmother is still alive and I go to her house every weekend!
I would actually die if deli actually did this idea !!! Just imagine her recreating zalfies house . and maybe getting in contact with them she ghetto actually do have a sims series
Who thinks there are way too many stairs? Love this house but the 'old people' who would live there would probably hate having to climb up all those stairs
This is so cute! I feel that everything in this build is exactly what my grandparents' house is like! All the wallpapers, the kitchen, the lamps and lights, it's all associated with old people/houses! I love it!!😍
I close my curtains partially because I never leave my room and I don't like people looking in, but mostly because I'm some sort of freaky hermit creature.
I'm from south Africa and we call our 'out houses' are called long drops, this is because there isn't any plumbing, it's just a long drilled hole in the ground♡Haha
I just had a sudden memory of the smell and warmth of a Sunday afternoon at my grandparent's house from watching this. Quiet, calm, cluttered, absolutely wonderful all around. Classical music on the radio weaving through dusty sunbeams, soft snore as my grandma naps while I'm doing homework or reading a book. This is a lovely build, I love how you made it feel just like my grandparent's home even though A) it doesn't even look like their house and B) I'm American! Goes to show we're all more similar than we think! I love it.
5:00! Yes! My grandmother has been collecting spoons for ages oh my god it's so wild. I also live in Australia and I have never not seen an elderly person not collecting something!
My grandmother had an outhouse and the laundry connected to it. Came in handing when my cousin had parties though. (He used to live with her) The house has been torn down now but the units that replaced it are so nice.
whenever i’m stuck on ideas for homes you inspire me. i definitely agree with elderly people collecting things! although my grandparents have a large tv and new technology, they do have a lot of small statues and books etc....
I work with seniors and love it. This definitely looks like a house for them. Also I love the story of your grandpa he sounds like my kind of person. I to love history too. I could sit and lessen to him talk about it for hours.
I love my grandparents apartment. Just needed to get it out there. My dad has lived there all his life as so have his brothers and sisters. They live in a little town in the countryside with mountains and long valleys. Every-time I go I get these vibes.. I don’t know how to explain it. I just love it.
I just used this house for my family's nanny who is growing up older now. What can i say, is deli thank you so much! This house is so amazing. The details are perfect for a granparents house ❤️love you
can you please make a building and landscaping tips and tricks video for easy ways to make a sims house look better?? Love your videos by the way and I'm also from melbourne
i remember this was one of the first ever sims videos i’ve seen and i was like woah i cant even comprehend how to build something like this, today it got recommended to me and now i have a totally new perspective as someone who actually understands how building works it was cool to come back to
A suggestion for anyone irritated by the screenshot where the roof has no base to it is to, when in buildmode to click on the room then find the yellow border on the top of it and click build ceiling, you may have to move the roof to do it :)
This has happened to me and has been annoying me so much in my game (it's happening to two of my roof styles). Sorry, got a bit confused. So you just click on the room and there should be a "build ceiling" option?
To my knowledge, outhouses in Canada at least, are old toilets that are basically just holes in the ground with a small building around it. They smell horrible! They are normally at campgrounds and along the highway. I hate them
My gawd XD ur story when you fell asleep while trying to get into bathroom 😂 well they say you learn something every day 😂 lesson: DONT BE SLEEPY WHILE GOING TO BATHROOM XD
YES my grandparents have a grandfather Clock! A big one! And the house you built really reminds me of their house actually, except that my grandparents have a lot of bedrooms so that we can come visit and sleep over 😊
And an out house in Norway where I live, is actually either like a greenhouse or just like a shed, we call it outside toilet if it's a toilet in a house outside 😂 but that's a super old thing an they're usually kinda disgusting
This reminds me of my grandparents house so much! Their house has that green theme to it haha. Including the units, drawers etc. Oh and plenty of big plants everywhere (in the kitchen too!!)
My mom’s best friend is a really awesome blend of contemporary and kitschy. She has this super modern looking house that looks a lot like your normal builds but she dresses and decorated like a hippy. She’s pretty amazing, too.
My grandma and grandad's house is modern and super sleek. It's so nice and I love staying there! She is very modern and very up to date with all the latest trends whether it be fashion, makeup or interior design xxx
I love this channel and these builds so much, you're such an inspiration! Your voice is so calming as well XD You have such talent, your builds are so well structured and you can make the biggest pile of shit look better than any thing I could spend 10 hours on! Absolutely fabulous x
Deli!! I can sympathize. I currently have food poisoning. Happened yesterday. It's terrible. I'm just hoping it leaves my system before Monday 😐 Hope you are feeling better now.
Im a closed curtains girl and its mainly because it makes the living room nice and cosy :D I love lighting candles with the curtains closed in the evening and having the fire on :') it just feels really homey and cosy
I wouldn't say my grandparents are modern style wise but all the things in their house are new. They actually recently even put it wood flooring and took out the carpet. My grandma loves Pinterest and decorates for every holiday and my grandpa is always on Facebook. They definitely hold on to things especially things belonging to their kids, but it's all very very organized and a tucked away.
And in the "dass" we have "dass böcker" which is basically "out house book" and there are jokes in them and just funny pictures, i actually dont know why... But ive read many of those in my days too😹 my family actually have 2 of those books in my house atm even if we dont have a out house.
She obviously meant what do we call them in other English speaking countries. Why would you think she wasn't sure if it's called an "out house" in other non English speaking ones?Obviously she would know it's not called that in non English speaking countries.
My grandma passed away a few years ago and since then my grandpa has decluttered and upgrades many part of the house!! My other grandparents are also fairly modern, my grandmother is a perfectionist so she likes everything to be neat and tidy and clean!
A distant "elderly" relative of mine is actually very stylish and she actually uses an interior decorator to help plan out how she decorates her home. It's a very classy mix of modern and classic styles. Probably the nicest home I've seen in person.
Please do an LP where there's 2 old people who live in this house, they really want a new house and they just wanna downsize. They are really nice and do tonnes of stuff for the community, and the community surprises them by renovating their house.
Both my grandparents have iPhones, iPads, and laptops... BUT my grandma on my dads side is very modern, her condo is as contemporary as it can get, until you get to her basement which is her husbands area of the house which is very cluttered, very decorated and super cozy, he's from Africa so the basement is Africa themed and everywhere else is all white. Love u deli ❤️
I don't know whether or not this counts, but the dining chairs with the covers on come from one of the packs that could come with some (more expensive) editions of the base game. Only with Deluxe Edition, I think. I only had Limited Edition, but I ended up buying all the additional content from Deluxe Edition when the pack was on sale! :)
I lived with my grandparents my whole life, they raised me as my mom and dad and my grandma was very into modern and sleek and everything had to look good and be perfectly clean and tidy lol.
I absolutely love your builds! I think the landscaping is incredible as well;really makes the exterior pop! I would love to see more. Hope you feel better!
I really loved watching this build!! We just bought a house (built in the 50s) and it belonged to a 92 year old woman. And we do have an outhouse! I think here in Belgium it is quite common in older houses! The house I grew up in had one too :)
My grandparents live in Denmark and they redid their house and it is super modern and Scandinavian styled. All light wood, white cabinets and windows, with black couches and recliners and some pretty cool art pieces scattered about. They have this really cool patio upstairs that looks out over the bay they live by. I love their house so much. Thought I'd share :)
This is really awesome! So nostalgic for me it reminds me of my grandparents house. The colors are spot on! That brown carpet omg! They didn't have any decks though but I love that addition to this house. And the outhouse is so fun. We call it an outhouse here in Canada. My grandparents actually had one out the back! (this one looks nicer lol). If I had the Sims 4 I would totally use this house.
My grandparents are SO modern and their house is like so cool! My grandma is really stylish aswell and she buys all these expensive shoes and hand bags
So I live in United States in Florida and I'm from Peru and even though I have lived here for 18 years I still have my Spanish accent (thank God) and I absolutely LOVE my accent. BUT! Can I just say how OBSESSED I am with Australian accent?!?! Lord! It's so beautiful. I can listen to deligracy talk all day!!!!
That was an awesome build, Deli! You did a fantastic job of reminding me of my great-grandmother's home - Outhouse and all. She had a ton of books from what I remember. Amazing!
I like to work with those hidey holes too but I usually put in a half wall and then have one of the column decorations to make it seem like there’s a top to it. But the long window is also a great idea, I’ll try that in my next build!
Deli! Hungary (Europe) here, and we do have outhouses! Mostly the elders have it, youth does not like it, but we also have a different outhouse, it's a kitchen and dining area separated from the house. So my grandma for example has 3 buildings on the lot :D
all my grandparents are the absolute best i love them all(even desieaed) so much ! 💗 this was such a sweet build and also my grandparents are all modern like ❤️
My grandmother had a few things she kept over the years. Some of them belonged to her mother; but her house wasn't cluttered. She had a storage shed that was a good size that she kept other things that she didn't use. Every once in awhile she would drag something out of the shed and put something else back in it.
About 2 years ago, my grandma on my moms side passed away from a sudden illness. She was an amazing lady. She was pretty stubborn, but super neat, and an amazing baker. She was definitely the most modern or contemporary older person, she was only 65 (I think) when she passed away, so wasn’t too old, but still. She loved her Elvis (a singer from the 60’s if you don’t know who he is). That was probably the most I guess “old thing” she really liked. I really hope this comment made sense 😂❤️
This is such a good idea!
That's an amazing idea because then you'll never get bored of the same family for the entire LP
That is amazing my friend
this is so creative,, yes she needs to do this
That's such a cool idea I don't think anyone has done that before
I am not only a grandma, I am a GREAT grandma. I have an ipad, an iphone, and I build houses in Sims 4! I do collect a few things, so I am guilty of that, but my house is modern Spanish-style and not cluttered. It's a two-story house, and I climb those stairs two at a time. Keeps me young! can u adopt me
@@huangyh05 Same??
Me too? I wanna learn piano so bad
Lynne Bebout I’m not sure if this is real or fake 🤔🤔😑😑
Yeah I totally believe this
My Granny passed away almost 8 years ago on my birthday. She lived with us my whole life.
Maybe I'll make her in the sims and move her in this house when you upload it. It has a bunch of places to garden and that was one of her favorite things to do.
I'm sorry for your loss :( Grandparents are so special. I bet you have wonderful memories of her living with you.
Chelsea Kay Thank you so much! That means a lot. Yes, I do. I'm very lucky to have been able to live with her.
Zena Thompson well I have my Grandma but I don't have my father or my Grampa
Hailee Bugg me too!
Don't you dare make me cry 😭😢😢(but I'm sorry for your loss)
My grandma is not about to walk up those stairs
Cough Syrup 😂😂👌🏻
Ikr
As soon as she saw the print of our future house (Stairs outside) she just lost it XD scolded my dad even
geo :/ 🤣🤣
Same thoughts here haha
At my house we have a grandfather clock we call it the memory clock and if someone close to us passes away we put a picture of them in it because is like a key lock one and my grandmas picture is in it same with my dads
WhyNotMakenna your father died? 😮

Cute 😊
Actually my grandparents are kinda the same, just my grandma has brown's and creams

My grandma has this one room you cannot even walk It because it has generations and generations of stuff in there stack on top of each other.
Clara same!!!!! ITS HER BEDROOM!!! SHE SLEEPS ON THE COUCH!!
Clara same omg
Clara omg ya Mel is killin me
Omg yes my grandma had TWO of those, but I managed to clean one out and put the stuff in the other room, packing it even more. I sleep in there now :V
Vanilla Iced Latte. lol

Miles Rose SAMEEE
i honestly love seeing a bunch of walls and floors put together and later giving it so much character.
I really love and appreciate when you say “in Australia” it makes me happy that you notice that in some countries things are called different things
in the USA some old houses still have out houses. and yes its called the same.
Around my area we don't have out house on old lots
I love this all my sims have grandparents and this would be prefect ( I love family trees in the sims 😂 )
I'm from south Africa and we call our 'out houses' are called long drops, this is because there isn't any plumbing, it's just a long drilled hole in the ground♡Haha
Emma Mundell I’ve seen one of those before!
we have those in places where i live in australia. usually remote areas
Emma Mundell I'm also from SA! ✨ Greetings 😂
OMG I CANT BELIVE THIS THAT LOOKS JUST LIKE MY GRANDDADS OLD HOUSE OMGGGGGG! Love u deli ❤️❤️❤️
I love how she says back in the day like if she was 60 😂😂😂 oh and btw I really love ur voice it's so sweet you sound super young too
And your really pretty too you look like a model
That’s very sweet of you to say to her thank you for appreciating her beauty
My grandmas house sounds exactly like what she was talking about! Like my grandma 👵🏻 has a lot of old/old fashioned stuff
whenever i’m stuck on ideas for homes you inspire me. i definitely agree with elderly people collecting things! although my grandparents have a large tv and new technology, they do have a lot of small statues and books etc....

omg your story about old people was so cute
My mom and her parents definitely had outhouses back in the day! It was a very mountain rural, Appalachian thing here in Kentucky!
+doglovernat174 I'm in KY!! the rural part though lol
Same. I'm from Southwest VA area near Kentucky and TN. My mom was raised in the 50's and they lived out in the woods.
Can you please make a medium sized family home that is nicely cluttered. I would really enjoy that.
The details are perfect for a granparents house ❤️love you
Hope you feel better deli i love ya!!💞🙏
Oh yea and I'm from Texas and we call it an out house too but no one really has one anymore
Only in like baseball fields or hiking trails are where outhouses are
can you please make a building and landscaping tips and tricks video for easy ways to make a sims house look better?? Love your videos by the way and I'm also from melbourne
My grandmother (we call her Gramy) has over 200 ceramic chickens that she keeps in her apartment.
Lily G cute
Omg my grandma is super modern!! She's amazing at finding good ways to make cool looking modern furniture look amazing with each other
i remember this was one of the first ever sims videos i’ve seen and i was like woah i cant even comprehend how to build something like this, today it got recommended to me and now i have a totally new perspective as someone who actually understands how building works it was cool to come back to

Love the build deli :)
oh my god thxs so much
This has happened to me and has been annoying me so much in my game (it's happening to two of my roof styles). Sorry, got a bit confused. So you just click on the room and there should be a "build ceiling" option?
Outhouses are called and placed (in one point of time) literaly everywhere in the world.
WHat ARE YOU DOING iN MY SWaMP
Pooing
+Queen lol

To my knowledge, outhouses in Canada at least, are old toilets that are basically just holes in the ground with a small building around it. They smell horrible! They are normally at campgrounds and along the highway. I hate them
Alice Blanchette Yesss omg they smell so bad (but where I'm from in Canada we call them Porta-Potties)
My grandmother has lived in the same apartment for the last 30 or 35 years and it has so many nick nacks it's so cool and has a very vintage feel.
UGH, why are ALL of her builds perfect!
It's too hard to hide from the Jehovah's when the curtains are open! 🤣
My gawd XD ur story when you fell asleep while trying to get into bathroom 😂 well they say you learn something every day 😂 lesson: DONT BE SLEEPY WHILE GOING TO BATHROOM XD
For the hides hole u could have used an arch with moveobjects on
+Rhianna Nicole thanks we all have our own taste and that's fine
YES my grandparents have a grandfather Clock! A big one! And the house you built really reminds me of their house actually, except that my grandparents have a lot of bedrooms so that we can come visit and sleep over 😊

Not alot of houses in America have outhouses anymore. Its usually houses on large pieces of land that has outhouses.
Thankfully I still have both of my grandparents...
I do too but not on my moms side because they are dead and I never got to meat them at all
I have no one. I'm okay though. 😞😶
+BunnySimmer same
Both my Grandpas died before I was born... I only have my two Grandmas 😰😖
Panos Papazafeiropoulos you don't have four
U just got a new subscriber😄
My mom’s best friend is a really awesome blend of contemporary and kitschy. She has this super modern looking house that looks a lot like your normal builds but she dresses and decorated like a hippy. She’s pretty amazing, too.

Deli!! I can sympathize. I currently have food poisoning. Happened yesterday. It's terrible. I'm just hoping it leaves my system before Monday 😐 Hope you are feeling better now.
Oh and I'm lactose intolerant as well but it's not that bad. Happens when I end up eating a lot of frozen yogurt lol It's seafood this time.
Make sure to drink a bunch of milk and have some cheese with Ice cream ;)
Im a closed curtains girl and its mainly because it makes the living room nice and cosy :D I love lighting candles with the curtains closed in the evening and having the fire on :') it just feels really homey and cosy

Sorry for your loss

I feel for you hunny xx
My grandpa is more of the collector and he keeps his reading glasses next to the toilet with books :)
We also have a cuckoo cuckoo clock instead of a grandfather clock
In sweden we call "out houses" "dass" ive been to many in my life and ugh its do gross
And in the "dass" we have "dass böcker" which is basically "out house book" and there are jokes in them and just funny pictures, i actually dont know why... But ive read many of those in my days too😹 my family actually have 2 of those books in my house atm even if we dont have a out house.
I'm from Sweden too and we call our toilet dass and we have dassböcker too so😂
She obviously meant what do we call them in other English speaking countries. Why would you think she wasn't sure if it's called an "out house" in other non English speaking ones?Obviously she would know it's not called that in non English speaking countries.
John S i was just commenting for fun jesus christ
sadnessimmer in Norway we call it: Utedass
My grandma passed away a few years ago and since then my grandpa has decluttered and upgrades many part of the house!! My other grandparents are also fairly modern, my grandmother is a perfectionist so she likes everything to be neat and tidy and clean!
A distant "elderly" relative of mine is actually very stylish and she actually uses an interior decorator to help plan out how she decorates her home. It's a very classy mix of modern and classic styles. Probably the nicest home I've seen in person.
I don't have grandparents and, i've never met them😶...
sorry
don't worry when your older you will learn about them!
❤️💙❤️
I never met my grandfathers and only see one of my grandmothers often.
m2
Could you put it on the gallery please??? I would really like that
Has she uploaded it yet? I can't find it on the gallery
i'm bummed, I can't find it either...
you have to search "grandparents house" in the gallery and most popular
thank you soooooo much!
this is reminds me of both of my great grandmas' houses in NY. Low key miss going to their houses and hanging out with my cousins
This house is so adorable. Gonna download it first time in the morning and make a cute old couple who can live in it. Thank you!❤️
More landscaping videos!
My Grand Father died at 2012 and my Grand mother died at 2014 I miss them ;-;
Please do an LP where there's 2 old people who live in this house, they really want a new house and they just wanna downsize. They are really nice and do tonnes of stuff for the community, and the community surprises them by renovating their house.
This was the first video I ever watched by Deligracy years ago
Both my grandparents have iPhones, iPads, and laptops... BUT my grandma on my dads side is very modern, her condo is as contemporary as it can get, until you get to her basement which is her husbands area of the house which is very cluttered, very decorated and super cozy, he's from Africa so the basement is Africa themed and everywhere else is all white. Love u deli ❤️
do the American horror story murder house!
This might be a only do base game build...
Oh she said that now hehe
No she left somethings from get together
+Vega Hammarbäck and she left plants from outdoor retreat
I don't know whether or not this counts, but the dining chairs with the covers on come from one of the packs that could come with some (more expensive) editions of the base game. Only with Deluxe Edition, I think. I only had Limited Edition, but I ended up buying all the additional content from Deluxe Edition when the pack was on sale! :)
Can you put this house on the gallery plz ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I lived with my grandparents my whole life, they raised me as my mom and dad and my grandma was very into modern and sleek and everything had to look good and be perfectly clean and tidy lol.
I absolutely love your builds! I think the landscaping is incredible as well;really makes the exterior pop! I would love to see more. Hope you feel better!
I really loved watching this build!!
We just bought a house (built in the 50s) and it belonged to a 92 year old woman. And we do have an outhouse! I think here in Belgium it is quite common in older houses! The house I grew up in had one too :)
My grandma keeps EVERYTHING! Her house is a freaking museum.
Becca Iversen are you Danish?? I live in Denmark too, just fun to see another Dane haha :)
Amazing!
Very creative, I love the way it turned out. Very nice of you to create an homage to grandparents lost.
I can't wait for this house to be on the gallery, I'm in love with the roofing!
all my grandparents are the absolute best i love them all(even desieaed) so much ! 💗 this was such a sweet build and also my grandparents are all modern like ❤️
I love this build!! It's so unique! My grandparents live in a house trailer on a farm so their house is very small and cluttered.
My grandmother had a few things she kept over the years. Some of them belonged to her mother; but her house wasn't cluttered. She had a storage shed that was a good size that she kept other things that she didn't use. Every once in awhile she would drag something out of the shed and put something else back in it.
We (the fans ) love you and enjoy the talks we hope you are doing well and that you are not sick any more!
Outhouses are SUPER popular in Canada!!! I’ve always wanted to put one in the Sims!! Great build Deli!!
Omg that kitchen was is so hideously beautiful! It reminded me of my grandma!
I really hope this comment made sense 😂❤️
my great-grandfather trained pilots in WWII so the little airplane has some personal meaning to me too
and YES THE GRANDFATHER CLOCK ABSOLUTELY
My grandma is OBSSESED with modernness and fashion! It’s too funny 😂
