For me, Syuen is basically an extremely extreme example of the Hedgehog's dilemma. She is so scared of being hurt and losing anyone that she cares about, that she's utterly vicious to everyone. She probably grew up seeing the worst, most scummiest and evil side of the Ark, where people are betraying and murdering each other all the time. She also has to constantly work on Nikke, knowing that most of them were murdered civilians, and will go on to die immediately fighting the raptures. I totally expect her backstory to be horrifying.
This plus all the small crumbs we getting is the reason why I'm genuinely loving syuen.

I've mentioned this on one or two other videos of people reacting to this. But I respect so much that there's like 5 layers to this event name. Yuni literally can't speak, Jien doesn't speak or appear, Mana has to be indirect to help Mihara, and Syuen can't say her actual feelings. Plus the likely intentional pun that Wordless and Wardress in Japanese/Korean sounds more or less identical. Genuinely I think this event might be one of the highest points of nikke's writing and storytelling. Both side stories so far have been extremely good, genuinely rivaling the anniversary events imo.
I dont what it is, but call it a gut feeling. I don't think Jien likes Syuen. I think she used Syuen getting hurt as an excuse to experiment on Yuni because she knew she wouldn't really care at the time. I also think Jien has something to do with how Syuen acts.
Aside from the depression, I find this side story gives off body-horror vibes. You know that one scene from the *RoboCop* 2014 remake?? I feel like this is one of those situations. 😬 If you know, you know.
Robocop, Terminator, and Warhammer 40k have big influences in this game, so the comparison makes sense. The same has comparisons with Nier and Claymore, too.

It's crazy that Enikk's punishment wasn't even that extreme. Re-install her NIMPH and maybe have her do community service for the rest of her life. Jien went full Frankenstein on her. Well hopefully, Syuen, Yuni, and Mihara hug it out in the future and Yuni gets a new body.

I can’t fully feel bad for Yuni here. She ended so many lives and for having nearly killed hilled her sister,Jien actually took it fairly easy on her.

I liked this story, not because of Yuni but more so because of Mihara. Seeing the choices that she makes here, even after a second memory wipe. Such a genuine good soul.

I hated Syuen like everyone else, but I started to have seeds of doubt about her in the miracle snow event seeing how feral she went when she learned about how Anne and her mother were treated, going as fare as threatening to send Perilous siege, which seem a bit overboard for just a scam, and then there was the time she begged the commander to save Matis, and with wordless, I really want to have more back story for Syuen, especialy after the white dragon saga where we see that the real Guillotine was different than the Guillotine we knew, so I want to see who the real Syuen is
Now, Jien is unhinged like Syuen or even worse. But why Hot?!

I like Syuen despite everything. You may not feel that way but I strongly believe she doesn't actually hate everyone. On the contrary, I think Jien is truly the evil one of the two but may seem friendly at first, while Syuen is the opposite. I can't wait to find out more about her.

She's... interesting. I dont like her per say but I would like to know more about her. There's so much mystery about her Especially after the Mana event. Like she left me with several questions. Hoping we'll meet her again in either the story or in an event

a little bit of added, frankly unnecessary cruelty to yuni's punishment:
yuni having her ability to talk removed makes sense, honestly. her words were what caused the disaster, so sensible punishment. however, this wouldn't have been an issue, since yuni literally communicates through pain, as shown in her bond story. but she isn't even able to do that now, since her abilities are restricted. meaning she was left with no method of communication, at all, besides her desperate coos. she has no mouth, and she must scream.
