    I would be looking to isolate the turbo waste gate and seeing if this restores the CAN network.
    Another interesting video.👍

    If one of the resistors is in the ecu why does the scope wave form look good with only the other 120 resistor?

    I got caught out back a long time a go with a brand new Peugeot 406 with van network , i had multi faults in airbag ecu windows screen rain sensor faults in bsi and i nearly had a bald patch worn in my head and i reach out for some help i hadnt checked for van wire continuity to earth and low and behold one wire was gone to earth after a bit of wire tracing sure enough our french friend in the factory had trapped one of the van wires behind a bracket up by the pedals

    Believe the battery was installed backwards on my 2002 x type what do you suggest if that's the case don't think it's sparking

    As the other comments have mentioned always check the power and grounds before condemning a module.
    I bet a manufacturers flowchart would get you to check the resistance between the ecu plug and the multiplug you disconnected.

    As others have already said powers and grounds check to the ecu would be my next move.

    Check all powers and grounds to the ECU, before to put a new one(used).

    If the rest of the network is connected and the fault only occurs when engine ECU is plugged back in I'd say it was at fault, providing all its powers and grounds are sound. Have seen the 'theft detected' code on non starting Fords before but not sure how it immobilizes the vehicle? Could it be by messing up the CAN signal? 🤔

    Not sure I am looking at this properly. When the abs module was disconnected the signal cleaned up, and then when the ecu was disconnected the signal cleaned up. So I was thinking maybe the problem was in the wiring loom. As said below power's, and grounds must be load tested before the ecu is replaced.

      The abs was never disconnected from the network.

      @@intelligentauto737 @Intelligent Auto A thank you.I watched it again. It was the loom coming from the ecu to the abs module that you removed. I just wasn't getting it as I was looking at the video first time. I would say next check is to look at powers and grounds to ecu, and load test them.

    Jaguar were obviously not worried about the cost of wiring routing it around the engine bay like that😳.

    • @intelligentauto737
      @intelligentauto737 3 года назад +2

      Why would I, with the ABS connected to the network and the PCM disconnected the CAN signal is fine.
