Politically I’m on the left and not a big fan of Tom Macdonald but I could care less if someone likes something I don’t. Listening to Crypt defend himself was very refreshing. Crypt comes across as both honest and sincere and I'm so glad he stands up for his convictions. Sometimes we just have to stand up for ourselves by grabbing the bull by its horns in the full knowledge that we cannot please all the people.

As a brit it’s so weird hearing Americans talk about politics, you can’t have beliefs that align with either side (i’m crypt said he does but most americans it seems online) You have to be one side or the other - this then bleeds into everything else ‘If you don’t have the same beliefs as me then i see you as an enemy’ is the way I would sum it up.

It has become a lot more divisive lately. I'm a liberal in a very conservative area and it has never been a problem. A few lively debates here and there and that's it. Now though half the people I know have quit talking to me over politics, some of them family. All of the sudden they see me as the enemy but I don't care as long as I like you or what you are doing. Only appreciating art or people that align with you politically seems a miserable way to live.
