Possibly the best TV Bowling clip on all of You Tube. Thank you Mr. Ware (fromthe bowing Ware family of Dallas?) Seeing a young pot bowler from Dallas defeat the great Holman was priceless enough but seeing Holman have a meltdown because of the crowd was priceless. It didn't hurt that Bowden's wife was the cutest thing I think I have ever seen.
I guarantee if you ask Holman nowadays,he'll tell you he let that stuff get under his skin way too much and brought on most of it himself. He was a confrontational dick, period. He seems like a good dude on tv now 🤷♂️
+PREGO1966 not sure if you're just making a joke or not.........I was obviously referring to the bowler Bo Bowden, the bowler who won the tournament, not the announcer Bo Burton!!!
+dettigs I apologize but many people have made typos like this on people's names here and on facebook especially celebs and athlete's names. Sorry about that
+dettigs As do I my friend and have several of my favorite PBA and LPBA members on my facebook buddy list (Wendy Macpherson-Papanos and Joy Esterson remember to say happy bday to me every February. :-))
I saw a post-retirement interview with Anthony where he answered a question about Holman. He said "that was the real guy, what you see is what you get on the lanes or in a restaurant or wherever". And then, he said something along the lines of the bad behavior being good for the tour because it got people to tune in, whether they hated holman and wanted to see him lose or loved him and wanted to see him win. A crowd cheering something negative is maybe something that will make the crowd members feel bad later, but it should sound like dollars to the event promoters.
Holman always was standoffish. You can see it on his face after each shot. Thats why everyone was against him. When being confrontational.....expect confrontation 🤷♂️

You had a great career in Green Bay 👏
Oh yeah. Shes a snack 😏
love that Angle ad!
I LOVE THE PROFESSIONAL BOWLER TOUR FROM 1981 TO 1986 AND 1987 LOVE CHRIS HOCH
That looked like David Letterman on the Firestone 721 tire commercials.
Bo Bowden did bowled amazingly well in his first telecast
You can love or hate a player, but whoever in the audience who was causing trouble for Holman should have been removed.

The contestants bowled well in the 1981 True Value Open.

the first, second, and title matches were exciting and close
1:06:10 Holman completely OWNED the crowd at that moment. :P
Yes, but he lost the tournament.
Bowdens molestache/fro combo is epic.
bo bowden was shocked in the 2nd game when jeff mattingly was unable to convert the 2 sleeper 8
Mattingly totally shit the bed.
bo bowden converted the 2 pin to win the true value open
thank yoU!
While the crowd's behaviour wasn't great, you'd have to say Holman's arrogant behaviour really brought that on himself there.

@@daw162 yep, having a bad guy or heel sells, much like tits and ass. Just the way it is....
As big a strikeball as Mattingly had, his shot was always totally uncontrollable. It was little wonder he had such terrible TV record.
