About rangoli theme:
👉 The circle in the centre represents agriculture as India is an agricultural country. It represents the Green Revolution in India.
👉 Missile represents the Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) of India. It was launched on 5 November 2013 by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
It was India's first interplanetary mission. It made India the first Asian nation to reach the Martian orbit and the first nation worldwide to do so on its maiden attempt.
👉 Olympic:- India has won 35 medals at the Summer Olympics across 25 Olympic Games since first participating in the 1900 Paris Games. Field hockey is India's most successful Olympic sport, with the Indian men's team winning 12 medals, including 8 gold medals. Tokyo 2020 proved to be India’s most successful Olympics, as they returned with seven medals.
👉 Beauty pageant:- India has won a total of ten victories with seventy-eight placements in all four pageants:
- 3 Miss Universe crowns (1994 - Sushmita Sen, 2000 - Lara Dutta, 2021 - Harnaaz Sandhu)
- 6 Miss World crowns (1966 - Reita Faria, 1994 - Aishwarya Rai, 1997 - Diana Hayden, 1999 - Yukta Mookhey, 2000 - Priyanka Chopra, 2017 - Manushi Chhillar)
- 1 Miss Earth crown (2010 - Nicole Faria)
In 1994, India became the last country to ever win Miss Universe and Miss World in the same year in the 20th century. India replicated the feat in 2000, marking the most recent time (as of 2023) that any country has won back-to-back at Miss World and, to date, the only time that any country won Miss Universe and Miss World in the same year in the 21st century.
👉 Make In India:- The Make in India initiative was launched by the Prime Minister in September 2014 as part of a wider set of nation-building initiatives.
The primary goal behind this initiative is to create an ecosystem that promotes the growth of startups while also driving long-term economic growth and producing large-scale employment. The goal is to make India a knowledge-based and digitally-enabled economy.
👉 Education:- Over the course of 7 decades after Independence, the education system of India has evolved gradually yet phenomenally. From a literacy rate of 18% in 1951, we have moved up to 73% as of 2011. Currently, the education system in India is the strongest and largest in the world hosting more than 315 million students.
👉 Internet:- India launched 5G services on October 1, 2022. India is the fastest-growing 5G region globally. The number of 5G users now stands at over 100 million, according to the country's top two telecom companies, Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, which have driven the rollout. That's about a sixth of India's 600 million smartphone users. 5G networks allow for greater flexibility and mobility in terms of where and how students can access educational resources.
👉 Right to vote:- When India attained independence in 1947 and the Constitution was adopted in 1950, universal suffrage started to take hold. The first general elections were held in 1951-1952, and India granted equal voting rights to all men and women.
👉 Nuclear power:- India is the 13th largest nuclear power in the world. As of November 2020, India had 22 nuclear reactors in operation in 8 nuclear power plants, with a total installed capacity of 7,380 MW.
Also, India possesses nearly 150 nuclear weapons and is producing more.
👉 Yoga - Yoga is an ancient Indian practice that is associated with the country's culture and heritage. It is considered a holistic system of wellness that focuses on bringing harmony between the body and mind, thought and action, and human and nature. Yoga is also seen as a means of achieving greater awareness, inner peace, and spiritual enlightenment.
👉 Covaxin - Covaxin (development name, BBV152) is a whole inactivated virus-based COVID-19 vaccine developed by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research - National Institute of Virology.
