How would you apply a control system using the SPDSX to trigger song sections to allow for spontaneous playback? It seems previous and next button smashing leads to possible miss-cues. Thanks in advance.
Great Question! Personally, I would still use prev/next so that I just make the decision to repeat if need be, otherwise it just plays normally. But, you can also map directly to a specific locator (i.e. chorus of song 3) if you want/need that flexibility.
So he made a IAC MIDI setup on his Mac and then created a midi channel on his Ableton set labeled "Repeat" then dropped a midi note 1 bar ahead of each section and programmed that note to trigger the "Previous locator" arrow in ableton arrangement view. Each section has marker and he can enable and disable the midi channel to turn on and off repeats.
Nice tip about the looping track. Much simplier way to approach it versus what I was trying to do.
Thank you! 💐
That is exactly what I was looking for!✨✨✨
Thanx again! 👍✨👍

Can you please add gear list, you are using in tutorial, to your description.
Name, model, version, etc.
Thanx 🙋
Can you explain what "enables repeat" means? I see what it's doing, but I don't understand what that is mapped to to make it happen.

@@austinlong6445 thank you. I ended up buying some of his stuff and got through that stuff. It was very interesting.
Great video thanks for the info. In regards to the tap tempo, would that override a tempo track? Thanks!
