Hey, I'm moving in to Trinity Square this year, and I'm wondering what happens on move in day? Do they provide trolleys to help you move in, and do people usually take their parents in on the day?
Hey! Yes, parents should lift all the heavy stuff so you can enjoy the experience and plan out your room! If you park in the tesco car park, you can use the trollies from there - most people do anyway. There are lifts from the car park straight to the Trinity reception. Best thing to do is park up, go to reception to get your key, then take all your stuff up. There are usually loads of helpers to carry stuff and show you around. Although you can take the metro, walking across Tyne Bridge early in the morning can be really nice as theres often fog over the river, but it clears really quickly in the early morning! Enjoy your stay!
@@NeilWiddowson Thank you, I'm also wondering what is actually provided in the room itself. Does it come with any bins and a chair, or do we need to bring our own of those? Also, what is the mattress like, would you recommend me getting a memory foam mattress topper, or is it soft enough?
Hiya, good video. What’s the social side like of trinity square. I’m joining Northumbria uni this September and plan to stay here. I really wanna make mates who wanna go out and party... Also, what’s it is like for noise, can you have music and pre drinks etc
Hey! Congratulations on getting into the best uni ;) for parties they say you have to inform them, but we never did and we had plenty, because of the size of the place they don't know or care - management isn't even there at night. They put on a few events over the year to make friends, but often at uni you tend to go out with your flat and coursemates a lot in first year. Make sure you go to the society fair in Freshers week too as you can make friends there. What course you doing?
Cheers for the reply buddy appreciate it. Decided to go with Glenamara purely because everyone said the social aspect is brilliant. Doesn’t look to shabby tbh. I’m doing Sport, Science and Nutrition mate
Cool... I was there in first year (2014) it was a lovely building but very shabby then, been done up since and looks amazing now! Enjoy, Northumbria is a great place to go to!
Yes you are! They are very lax about those kinds of things in practise. Just as long as theres no marks at the end of the year they wont mind! Good luck nest year. :)
Hey. I am moving in this september. Would really appreciate your reply. Do trinity square have lifts if we live at the top floor. and How far the coach lane campus is from trinity by walk and by bus.
Walking is about an hour and a half to coach lane as it's the edge of Newcastle. You could probably do 45 mins by public transport as there is a free bus from the main campus to coach lane.
Hey hi, I'm joining northumbria for September intake 2020 . I wanna know how is social life in Trinity square. Is it fine if we have some drinks inside the rooms?? And moreover is there any timing for the accomodation or we can enter In and out whenever we want to?
Hey you can drink anywhere you want! Communal areas often have parties and activities. It is open all the time and you'll have a key to get in and out :)
That's great!! I'm just worried because when I read the reviews there were complaints like wifi is damn slow , heater doesn't work , socializing among students in Trinity is not that great...
WiFi is never great in built up areas - you can plug in with a cable and it's great though. I never had an issue with my heater and tbh it was always so warm I didn't need it much! Trinity do put on events for students and you can chat to people as well as you can in any student halls. It's a great place to live.
In a studio room you'll be on your own so no cleaning rotas to go wrong! I haven't stayed in them, but I've seen them and they look lovely. Generally the same as a flat but everything in one room.
Hey do you know how deep that desk is in cm? But specific I know but I'm looking at staying here and I'd like a good desk for my pc setup and everything

@@JoshJFP it comes with a bin, desk, chair, bed, wardrobe, shelf and a bed side shelf too. :)
Thanks for the amazing video :) I was wondering how many square meters the room itself had (without the kitchen area)
Glad you liked it! I couldn't tell you that now as I don't live there but if you email the accommodation office they should be able to tell you 🙂
Was the ironing board included in the accommodation, or did you bring that yourself?
Yes it was :)

is the shelf above your sink already there?
Yes it was :)
So I take it you're allowed fairy lights at Trinity Square? Obviously one of my main concerns for September!
Yes you are! They are very lax about those kinds of things in practise. Just as long as theres no marks at the end of the year they wont mind! Good luck nest year. :)
How many people did you have in your flat?? Im looking at this accommodation for my 17/18 entry!!
Josh Smith the accommodation ranges from flats of 2 to I think 5

How is it there? Heard mixed reviews about water and wifi and staff being bad? Is that true?
The WiFi is crap, water occasionally has issues, but I use a cable for the internet so thats fine.

@@NeilWiddowson thanks a lot mate for responding. Fine I trust you and I'm booking my accommodation 😇
How many mbps do you get when plugged in via ethernet? Also are you allowed a mini fridge?
Sophie Mansel hey, 100Mbps (internet speed not just the Ethernet link) and yes you are! :)
Hey how is the studio apartment at trinity? Am I supposed to share the studio with someone or will I get to stay alone in my room?

Neil Widdowson thank you so much for your response :)
Where do you go to get the keys to check in? Moving here next week
Reception, I had to ring up and they let me in. I assume they will have a system in place for new students though.
Hey do you know how deep that desk is in cm? But specific I know but I'm looking at staying here and I'd like a good desk for my pc setup and everything
Hey! It's 49cm, not amazing but it is nice and long so you can fit stuff on. I would prefer my screen to be a bit further back but its acceptable.
What i wouldn't have given for this video a year ago XD - Was looking every were to find a tour of Trinity square to see if we had ethernet ports :)
So was I!
