Before people start complaining if its fair or not fair, can we just take a moment and just appreciate what Spencer and Alex are doing for us! They have given us a year of entertainment by doing this series!
Hey guys, glad you are enjoying the final! It's been a long time coming but it's been such a fun series to make, thank you to everyone that's watched them. To those of you saying the final was unfair with the way we worked out the results, believe us, we spent a long time making sure we did it in the fairest way possible and despite Spencer's joke about it being unfair we are both happy with the way it was done :-)
No hate whats so ever but it's a bit unfair on spencer because he's getting better results than alex but the world record for womens is considerably smaller than the mens so it gives alex a better result all the time, just saying it wasn't fairly done
If we did it so we compared the results directly against each other then it wouldn't be fair on Alex. This is a fair way and the most simple to calculate for viewers. No one wants to see complicated calculations!
what an amazing series you guys ... spen doggy dog all the way but also congrats to al on her amazing performance.. you guys really are just an inspiration and are very entertaining and humble.. keep up the good work and don't go changing!! .. this is all the way From SOUTH AFRICA .. please like so they can see this

Tecnically, you should've calculated the results as a percentage of the world record, because Spencer was never gonna throw 26 meters further at javelin or jump 36 centimeters higher than Alex. Even if he would've actually been good at those events, he wasn't gonna make that. Also, as an athlete myself, this was a bit painful to watch ;), but I realize it's all for a good bit of fun. I'm sorry but this rating system is far from fair Both Spencer and Alex are not professional athletes in those categories as they are both rather average. Nonetheless, Spencer is at an enormous disadvantage, as the male professionals can excel their female competitors by a long shot, due to their physical advantage. Lets take the Javelin throw as an example: If Alex were to throw her Javelin a maximum of 0 meters and if Spencer were to throw his Javelin a wopping 25 meters, he'd still lose because the difference in mens and womens javelin world record is 26,2 meters. JUST LET THAT SINK IN

Well done to both of you guys. It's terrible that people are giving you hat for giving them entertainment. I'm glad that I was able to watch the Spandex Cup. I've followed since Ep 1 and have enjoyed the series immensely. Alex I was always rooting for you. You almost did it but well done Spencer although I have to admit some did favor you over Alex.
