  • Michael Ostrzyga (*1975): Farout (2018VG18)
University Choir of the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar
    Conductor: Kerstin Behnke
The piece "Farout" was part of the programme of Kerstin Behnke's inaugural concert as choir professor at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar (HfM). The nickname "Farout" refers to the most distant (until 2021) known object in our solar system. The experimental sounds of the choral piece are meant to evoke the imagination of this celestial body.
In her inaugural concert, choral conducting professor Kerstin Behnke introduced herself with her via-nova-chor München, flanked by the two ensembles for which she is responsible at the HfM: the 60-member university choir made up of students from the HfM and Bauhaus University, and the HfM's ensemble: with 16 members.
The concert is part of the series "Virtuoso Weimar - Teachers in Concert".
