Really enjoyed this episode. Well done for showing the "not so good" days. Life is all about the ups and the downs. You both dealt with it well. Stop, rest and reset. This is why I follow this channel. Great content as always.
Thanks for that. Often this 'lifestyle' is depicted as only sunsets and beers on the beach. But it's still just life - and as you say there will be good and bad days. To make it sustainable we have to figure out where the balance.
Narrow curvy roads with beautiful view and chilly weather IS NORWAY 👍 Even on sunny day you can not expect warm weather like in southern Europe. Norway is extremely beautiful country with breath taking landscape - enjoy it. Thank You for lovely video!🥰
Congratulations on the video! It's nice to know the tricky parts too. And what a paradise ending! If you manage to catch any fish, please show them, amazing!
Thanks! As for the fishing.. I'm afraid Lisa's prediction are coming true. 😬😆 It's still nice to get too some scenic spots though but it's more 'Fishing and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance' than actual fishing 😋
Hi, Next Monday school is started for Norwegian kids.. so the native tourist will be much less, I think. Late summer can still be quite nice here.. good luck 👍🏻
Yes, always need to find the silver lining. I think it always comes down to gratitude. Once you start remembering all the things you have to be grateful for it kinda spirals in the reverse way that complaining does (how to get out of the hole 😄). For me it's simple things like (instead of complaining about my job) being grateful I always had a job throughout Covid, being grateful for my family and friends, being grateful I was born in my country etc etc (as I say, it builds momentum) 😊 As you say, life on the road is still life - ups and downs are inevitable (ppl who think they'll escape that by traveling are asking for a rude awakening)
Oh yes guys Norway is sooooo expensive !! We also know the struggle of van life! sometimes it is just not fun ;p However you also get ALOT of magical moments from it! We love how Andre said stop complaining ;p hahahah We totally get it! complaining is also a little part of vanlife ;p BUT YESSSSS omgggg to expensive right?! although enjoy Norway and we will send a lot of sunny days from Greece towards you
What we found interesting is how we adjust to a new 'normal' as to what something should cost. For example we measured Denmark against Germany and then Sweden to Denmark and then Norway to Sweden - and every time one thinks - mmm, it's just a little bit more expensive - but in real terms it's huge. Getting back into Germany will be like Christmas 😋😆
BTW crazy how busy it is !! a few months ago no one was their ahaha besides some other Norwegians. maybe the more you will go up north less people will be there
Wow it seems there are so many people and campers then I remember from 2009.. Maybe Finland will be better and the North, I spent 3 months in Finland back then following the Russian border and I never saw another van. But I did see tree's 🙂 the whole country is a forest. Oh yes and mosquitoes. 😞
We were really surprised by how busy especially the south of Sweden was as well (in retrospect it should have been expected considering how popular the coast is with locals). You'll see in our next video what makes Norway a little different - it feels like there is a higher concentration of travelers in certain areas due to the road infrastructure and the landscape. Frankly, you need a smaller vehicle to fully explore the best spots in Norway. We've now decided to change our original planned route a bit. Thank you for the comment!
Your videos are great. What is your job.I am 17 years old in Sri Lanka. Our language is Sinhala so I don't know much English so if you can please send me some links of English teaching videos.I hope we can meet sometime.

Glad you enjoyed the video. ❤ As we're originally from South Africa, the weather in northern Europe can be a huge shock! 😄

Thanks for the info! It's all about timing. Next time we'll either come much earlier or after schools go back! 👍
Cool, you literally drove past my doorstep on your way from the ferry and to Larvik harbour :-).
If we knew we would have waved 😋

Gratitude. ❤ Well said!
Amazing view!
One thing we quickly understood in Norway was that everywhere you look the views are just incredible ❤️

Norway seems to be more popular than ever 😬 We read that up to 6k people visit Preikestolen every day in summer
I think you ended up having better timing than us! Next time we'll get it right!
