    Juat returned from our first trip to Italy..We stayed only three nights but am.so grateful of all the information I received from several of your videos. We stayed at the Hotel Compo De Fiore at your recommemdation and were very pleased. It was a great location as you said. We dined ar Marriucias restaurant ,had sandwiches at the Forno in the Piazza walked to most of the attractions and took the metro and bus using Google maps as you suggested.. It was very helpful and conforting to know how to get around before we visited Rome..I really enjoy the way you used the maps to show us how to navigate the city...thanks so much and wishing you much success qith this vlog.

    Your videos are insightful and entertaining to watch. We're going to Rome for three days the end of October and are taking your advice based of this video regarding the location you suggested. We're staying at Hotel Demaso. Pricey but very nice. Can you offer any advice on public restrooms in Rome while touring the sites? How to find them if necessary. Also, have you guys traveled to Civitavecchia to board a cruise ship before? What is the best method of transportation? Maybe a video about this? Thank you!

      Have you considered Airbnb? This far out you can get a really good one for a reasonable price. As far as bathrooms Al the bars throughout the city essentially the public bathrooms. Sometimes they want 1 euro but not usually and always free if you are a customer. Most are clean but not always perfect. Advice after every meal use the restaurants bathroom.
      There is a train 2 or three times an hour that you catch at Termini or St Peter station near the Vatican. Only a few euros. Taxi will cost 80 more or less

    Your videos are highly informative. My wife and I will be visiting in May 2024. Question: Years ago, we used Eurail to explore some countries. Do they still have those information kiosks marked with "I' at major train stations where you can make pensione and hotel reservations. Our aim is not to prebook accommodations so we can have a much more flexible itinerary. Your recommendation is greatly appreciated. We will be travelling from USA/Nevada.

      May is a very busy month with great weather but do not go to Rome without reservations. It crazy in May last minute accommodations will likely cost hundreds more than if you pre-book now. A small crappie 1 bedroom can cost as much as $500 or more. I know it doesn’t give you flexibility but at least you will have a bed to sleep in. Sorry for the bad news. Other cities are much easier to get a room but Rome room should be secured asap

    Sorry, but I must correct you. I've seen it now in several videos and am surprised no one has corrected you yet in all these months. I can only assume they think you a tourist. It is not Torre Argentina. No matter what the formal sign on the building says. There are plenty of roads and piazzas that have a longer formal name, yet called the shortened version. It is Largo Argentina. This is my old neighbourhood growing up. I used to call it Kitty Cat Palace since the ruins have such a large stray cat population. They even have an adoption agency that locals can adopt one. And they've even just recently opened up the ruins for people to go down into. They'd been closed for decades. Great area to live.

    We stayed in an airbnb on via Leonina in Monti on our first visit last November. We were very, very happy with this location as far as walkability to everything. The Metro was a 3 minute walk. The only irritant was the noise - people coming and going in the building early in the morning and late at night, restaurant employees throwing out bottles late at night and trash collection early in the morning. I'm strongly considering a new location for our upcoming visit, either Campo di Fiori or Largo di Torre d'Argentina after watching your videos, but I'm getting the impression after reading Airbnb reviews from different locations in the historic area that to expect a quiet place to sleep is unrealistic when most lodging are in apartment buildings or hotels. Do you have an opinion on this. Thank you for your wonderful videos.

    • @RozierRoma
      @RozierRoma  8 месяцев назад

      That is what is great about Campo dei Fiori, outside the square itself if has many quite locations. Read the reviews of the airbnb before deciding many will mention the noise if a problem or not. Give it a try

    Just discovered your channel. I’m enjoying your videos. We’re going to be in Rome in July for 2 1/2 days. Going on a cruise. What do you think about staying at one of the hotels by the airport? Is it too far away from the Vatican City and the Colosseum?

    • @RozierRoma
      @RozierRoma  5 месяцев назад

      Yeah, it is kind of far. Not much out there other than the airport. I recommend getting into the city.. if things are getting very expensive in the city, I recommend staying in Tivoli about a 45 minute train ride from Rome but at least there you’re in a really fun city and you can take the train in to Rome and from Rome you can take another train to the cruise lines. The train from Tivoli to Rome cost around three euros one way.

    I'm planning a trip for my 50th birthday May 2025. I love to eat authentic when traveling. It's my 1st time, but would you recommend this location or Trastevere across the river? And are hotels better or Airbnb? Thank you. Your info and videos are excellent!

    • @RozierRoma
      @RozierRoma  5 месяцев назад +1

      First time try to stay near Largo Argentina and Campo de' Fiori. You can still head over to Trastevere in the evening easily by short less than 10 minute walk. This way you will be more central to more things. I usually stay in Airbnb as I like having a kitchen. I have stayed at Hotel Campo de' Fiori and it is very nice. Book you place 6 month in advance and you will have a great selection of best places. AirBnb usually lets you cancel 30 days out with out any penalties should your plans change. Any questions just ask.

    Your videos are incredible! Could you recommend a hotel that is more likely to be quiet and in the right area? We were hoping to find a place serving breakfast (not just continental) and around $200-350. a night. We love being near shops and restaurants but don't like noisy areas. One place I considered had a loud music restaurant on the ground floor. We will be in town April 24 - 26.

      You may have to copy and past the link. It is called "Campo de Fiori Apartment - La Violante"
      While it does not serve breakfast it does has a kitchen and lots of places just outside to grab a bit to eat that will be better than most hotels. I almost always stay in Airbnb so I am not real familiar with hotels. I hope you have a great trip!

      after adding all of the fees it is about $300 a day. There are other good ones nearby and some for less. With an Airbnb it is best to stay in ones with at least a 4.7 and with more than 50 reviews. The reviews can be very helpful to make a decision. Book sooner than later as the good ones will fill up.
