TheSketchUpEssentials you could send me sketchup file if you like it I contact you by Facebook and Twitter if you could answer me thank you for your understanding
I know this is a golden oldie, but Justin! this one is great!! thanks for the help. PB3 is bonkers useful, and this is just another special use-case. Thanks again.
Thanks for sharing. I can see how Profile Builder can save time once parking space assemblies have been worked out. But there is another way to avoid that flickering that occurs when two faces share the same space - use "cut opening" components on the raw asphalt surface. If you also hide the 4 parking line edges it is even more effective. Don't forget the islands, curbs, bollards, street control arrows, pedestrian crossings and street lamps The question is, can Profile Builder handle "cut opening" components correctly?
I think a better question is if SketchUp can handle the "cut opening" components correctly - I've always found that feature to be a bit buggy and probably wouldn't rely on it for something as simple as parking striping, but if it works for you, go for it
I haven't found a bugs with "cut opening". I just think that its limitations are not clearly understood, probably because the code is undocumented and was written by people who have long since left the team
there is some problem here, how could we analyze the vehicle turning path requirement? it is useless to design a parking space if no vehicle could properly turn into it, right?
Thanks Man.. I can't believe I missed this video. One question and I'm sorry if I missed it somewhere: Why did you reverse the faces of the pavement and parking lines? Thanks again, your videos are the best!
You mean just so the white face was facing the camera? Just trying to maintain good face orientation - ruclips.net/video/Y3kJlaXiNcA/видео.html - Hopefully I'm answering the right question here :)

I've asked them to add a "Minimum Spacing" option which would be required for parking striping and railing pickets.
That would be a nice feature to have
