  • My CCTVdesign.com.au site needed a major structural change and I did not have a local development copy.
What I found when I exported the SQL database to a local SQL server was the links were all still referring to the absolute URL of CCTVdesign.com.au and taking me to the live site.
This explains how I changed the absolute URL to localhost/cctvdesign as well as how to easily overcome the file size restriction of phpMyAdmin.
    PS...
It is now well past midnight which might explain the mistakes on the way
The references in the video are:
    notepad-plus-pl...
    daipratt.co.uk/...
    www.wampserver....
    netbeans.org/

I missed the part where you actually install the wordpress. When I did it I got "wordpress is already installed" notice, and i had to delete and re install the data base. Then wordpress comes empty. If I try to import the database after the installation, it's not working at all. Can you guess what am i doing wrong?
