Very insightful discussion. As you rightly and clearly described, there are many validated technologies and innovative models that need to be in practice by our small and marginal holders. But for the adoption of these need efforts like developing outreach materials and methods, hand-holding support to resource-poor farmers unless and until these technologies and models are mainstreamed. For this, technical support institutions (TSIs) hand holding support, and other stakeholders presence and coordination are very important. This will not only bring crop profitability for farmers but also increase cropping system intensification and farming systems development and hence multiplying farm income with diversified food system and food security for all. The philosophy here is "united we stand and divided we fall" on which basis present FPOs (FPCs, PGs, SPGs, SFLF, etc.) are in focus and top priority. But simply creation of such groups won't help unless they really target appreciate activities and work on those with other stakeholders' support.
