Can I just say, I have such respect for Matt for stopping in the middle of the match to help show Marisha things that will make the game more fun. He didn't beat the hell out of her and THEN tell her tips, he just stopped what he was doing to instruct her. That's the true mark of a kind soul.
It's because Matt lives for just that. He tries to hide it like he's just playing. But if someone says, "I'm definitely going to destroy you" Matt tries soooooo hard. Like his life is on the line. Matt doesn't like his competitive side, but that's because it's powerful. He even needed a second match with Taliesin to really rub it in.
I absolute love the down-scaled tone and feel of this series. Against the pomp of the big show, and the formality of Between the Sheets, this is a nice refreshing change of pace to just... hang out with you guys between madness. I love it.

It brings me so much joy to watch them playing these games I grew up with. They work so hard, so it's so rewarding to see them having fun and having nostalgia.
Both campaigns, have some select NPCs from each, you can earn different character specific items or powers based on experience earned playing the character. Little bit smash, little bit mortal kombat, little bit injustice. Could be awesome

You can build a roster of characters on there that must be experienced to be believed... You want to see Thanos taking on Darkseid? Pfff... Easy. Homer Simpson fighting Astro Boy? Done. Hello Kitty versus Doctor Doom? Check. Just about any character you want is out there- and if not, you can make your own from scratch with practice. Sorry if it sounds like I'm making a sales pitch, lol. The MUGEN game engine has given me hundreds of hours of enjoyment over the years I've had it.

Marvel vs Capcom was ALWAYS my jam. Used to have it for Playstation growing up and I would take the public bus after my early years of high school and sometimes Jr high to go home. Would stop over at Family Fun Center and play for a bit. Was amazing fun. I remember playing on the "easy" controls. So people would laugh and then proceed to get destroyed. Iron Man and Mega Man, Ryu and Chun-Li baby....so amazing. Such great memories. Also, Gates reminds me of Barrett from FF7

Marvel vs Capcom was ALWAYS my jam. Used to have it for Playstation growing up and I would take the public bus after my early years of high school and sometimes Jr high to go home. Would stop over at Family Fun Center and play for a bit. Was amazing fun. I remember playing on the "easy" controls. So people would laugh and then proceed to get destroyed. Iron Man and Mega Man, Ryu and Chun-Li baby....so amazing. Such great memories.
Also, Gates reminds me of Barrett from FF7
Whenever I play Samurai Showdown from now on, I have to remember than the controls are stabby, stabby, kicky, kicky. :)

The memories of fighting games of yesteryear flood my Brain. King of the Monsters at the riker rink in ny preteens. Samurai showdown at the local 7-11 in my teens. And Marvel VS Capcom at the big market space in my early busker days.
Neat I remember where they were.
