Hanoi Noi Bai Airport is Vietnam's second busiest airport, after Ho Chi Minh City. Hanoi serves Vietnam's capital city and has a great variety of foreign and local airlines flying in and out of the place daily! This video contains some of the diversity you can expect to see when plane spotting at this exotic airport!
Hanoi is a huge freight hub too and can host up to 8 747s a day from Europe and Asia. On this particular trip, we were delighted to film AirACT's 747 operating for Qatar Cargo, along with the usual Cathay Cargo, Atlas, China Airlines and more! Also featured in this video is a lot of local heavies, which can be seen flying between HAN-SGN, the world's 4th busiest route. You will see a lot of Vietnam Airlines 787/A350s along with Vietjet's new A330s operating the 1 hour journey.
This is my first Hanoi video and many more are in the works, along with videos from Ho Chi Minh City. Stay tuned for more Vietnam plane spotting in the coming months!

Only been to Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi once back around 2015. I think the terminal was fairly new at the time. I had a really long wait to get a Vietnamese visa on arrival such that my bags had been taken off the carousel and chained up by the time I got to the baggage hall. Loved much of Vietnam - Ha Long Bay is gorgeous, Hoi An is fun for foreign tourists, I liked the Da Nang area and loved Nha Trang. Would happily go back.

FYI: Some rounded roof that you see in the background are fighter hangars. Those belong to the 921st Fighter Regiment, part of the 371st Air Force Division of the Vietnam People's Air Force, operating the Su-22M4 fighter-bomber, charged with the defense of Northern Vietnam's airspace.
It is also home to the 172nd Air Defense Battalion, 64th Surface-to-Air Missile Regiment, operating the 9K35 Strela-10 (NATO code: SA-13; Vietnamese code: A89) short-range, self-propelled SAM system.
