All 141 Hot Wheels cars designed by Ryu Asada. Was a former design working at Hot Wheels in 2012 and oversaw design of cars in the $1 basic car line-up. Born in Osaka, Japan, he pursed a degree at the Art Center Collage of Design after emigrating to the United States. He began for Mattel Designer Center, for Matchbox cars from 2004 to 2012; he first designed for Hot Wheels in 2009. In 2021 Ryu Asada passed away on March 23, 2021, at the age of 42. He had been fought the colorectal cancer. All of those Hot Wheels Ryu Asada cars are favorites, the exotics, the JDMs, and some more Hot Wheels Ryu Asada cars, including, Nissan GT-R, Honda Civic, super cars, McLaren, Koenigsegg, Bugatti, and more cars.

The Hotwheels community has suffered a great loss with Ryu's passing. Such a talented man who has brought joy to many, young and old, with his ability to visualize and create works of diecast metal art.
We may be in sad but remember one thing he did this for us even with cancer he made us smile gave us joy and happiness to our us in the world thank you rye we will miss you so much 😞😔
I have like 90% of these cars. I feel like we all connected with him thru his art. I'm happy to hold onto a part of his creativity for the rest of my life. RIP

Yes!!!! Amazing history behind that diecast. I have a 94 h22 4 gen Prelude and im gonna make a tribute on the doors or glass with the Ryu logo circle with the track icon and some senna badge

As a collector of Hot Wheels and a fan since the early 2000s, Ryu Asada hit just as hard as Stephen Hillenburg dying for me, the Roller Toaster will always be my favorite Hot Wheel created by his hand to this day

These casts will never be forgotten, especially now he's gone, each and every one had months out into them, so much time and effort, he really was one of a kind

As a diecast collector Ryu Asada mainline casting are some of the best in detail and full tampos that are rare in mainline castings or ($1 cars ) that you vet in premium sets with real rider tires May he R.I.P 1978-2021 and his legacy lives on
I come back here and watch and reflect. I hope Hot Wheels creates a special series each year from now on in of 10 cars as a theme set. But what i would love is a full set of every car released or similar chase to collect. Such a visionary designer. We will miss your work and your passion Ryu. Much love from Australia!!

He designed lots of great new hot wheels over the past few years and I have all of his hot wheels castings in my hot wheels collection and I will be collecting all of his hot wheels castings for the rest of my life and he will be in my heart for the rest of my life.👍

Great tribute video...didn't realize Ryu designed so many of my favourite castings...R33 GT-R, Porsche 934.5,etc,etc,etc. I'll study them all now with much more admiration knowing that this master craftsman designed them!...What a loss for his family and the diecast community, thank you Ryu & R.I.P.

I dont know much of Ryu Asada but im familiar with his work which I collect mostly. The castings being flash are quite new and nostalgic as I could still recall when I started collecting die cast. I find it hard to name my favorite because they are one of the best, JDM to be particular.

It is impossible to mention all the casting's in which the master shaped his hand, but I think you missed the most important car of all and that in fact he drove in real life, I mean the emblematic ACURA NSX in red. !!!
