I have to say , watched a few of your videos , and I am hooked ,looks like you guys have a lot of fun ,and as a vintage collector ,and fellow sledder ,had to send some love and subscribe. Keep up the great videos! Happy Holidays to you all!~ cheers~!!
What a great video, if ya run older sleds this is what to expect, all in it's still fun and makes for great memories...btw I know your trails now by seeing all your vids ! Great stuff!!
First time seeing u guys. Love the old sleds. I'm running a 1985 polaris 440 classic, 1990 indy 500, and working on 1995 indy 500 I picked up for couple hundred, and last toy is 2020 assault 850... now out of all of them, grandkids fight over that 85 440 all day..lol. and tell ya the truth it's my favorite as well.. unless I'm looking at deep stuff, then assault comes out.. ty for video, love it. I'm hooked. Also love watching the lathe and drill press work..so ty..
awesome video nutter, when it rains it pours looks like your getting a bit of snow now anyway, you've got an awesome snowmobiling community there to always lend a hand have a great day
Not much snow here in western NC, found myself indulging in every sled vid the past week or so. I had a 78 TXL 340 with 44 mikunis . Thing would scream, not the biggest nor the baddest but the fun factor was a 10.
Great Vid!! Breakdowns bring memories. I can hardly wait to see your next video showing how this new clutch works! I am going to have to watch my 1977 TX340. After I initially run it, it tends to want to creep forward. Once I shut it off and try to restart, it feels like I am pulling the sled forward with each pull of the starter rope. I am thinking I have the same issues as Dennis.
Quite the day guys!🤦🏻♂️lol. Looks like you wine the battle of attrition! Haha. Reminds me of some of our vintage drags up here, parts scattered everywhere🤷🏼♂️. Good thing you’ve got some great RUclips friends to give you a clutch! Those old close faced primary’s aren’t too bad of a clutch but I imagine it’s completely worn out. Open face will be so much better👍. Hopefully it has the right taper? Or maybe use the old closed face inner sheave on the new p85? Works great!
Another awesome video. Thanks you guys.Wish i was out there with you. Even new sleds break down. Just part of the fun. If it has tits or skis it will give trouble.
It's OK guys. A tie rod end, and sticky clutch is nothing compared to the issues with the new stuff. Love the old stuff.. John that TX-L sounds great. When I talk about my TX-L , I refer to it as my "just a 340". Are in line with the big storm coming starting tomorrow?
@@joshkoltes I think you're talking about the case reed 600. Same thing as an Ultra with a smaller bore, I think. Anyways it wasn't easy getting the Ultra motor in there. You might like the build series.

Tie the ski , backs to backs & front to front , nurse home , no trailer , bring Paracord
Yep. We only had one ratchet and we were mot far from home.
had that happen one time so I tied a stick across the front of skies to get home
Stick ! Man’s first invention ? To the Cave

Probably. I've seen it a lot with the old closed clutches.

We all had a good time that day and the next day the clutch was fixed. That's another video though.
I wish I lived closer to you guys, I could come by and have a brewski! Would always be nice to have a fellow Polaris guy with lots of spare parts too👍

We're supposed to get some snow and wind.
Time for more bullwhip updates. 🍺
Update: Waterjet was down for a couple weeks. Still waiting for the part.
Supervisor needs a Milkbone !
Hey Nut! You got a liscence fer'that smile?! 😄
Yes I do!
Just tie a branch between the ski tips and enjoy your ride.
Old dogs , know old tricks
What engine is in the xcr
It's an Ultra motor with SLP pipes. There's a whole playlist on the build.
@@nuttersspeedshop oh I was spinning out thinking ya got a 600 sp to work in that chassis. I've tried and failed

@@nuttersspeedshop yes non mono block 600. They never had one in a wedge from the factory so there was no pipe that fit.
It would've taken more than lite beer to fix that clutch...😄
LOL! Wait until you see how bad it was inside!
don't see how you guys get anything done with that hard cool aid mix😂
