Kent is better in looks than any other bread maker for easy wash of dust due to no holes on thickness of machine. Is it have steel or alumunium on total inner surface and outer front surface?
Hi, No do not use baking soda. Baking soda is good for cakes only - you certainly need yeast for breads. I highly recommend activated dry yeast for bread makers.

Kent might be better looking but it doesn't work as well. Many people including myself have experienced multiple breakdowns and their service sucks.

In my experience Kent should be avoided. It keeps breaking down and they won't replace it even while under warranty.
