One of the 100 Inverted Jenny Stamps sells for a record-breaking amount AND your 100th episode! Your 100th episode is a bigger deal to me! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! And great episode!
Great episode Ted! I love recursive images on stamps also and have quite a few in my “stamps on stamps” topical collection. A few other good ones are Luxembourg LU 648, Poland PL 3893, Colombia CO C598, and Chile CL 1259
Hi Ted! Thanks for a great and fun video! The weird and wonderful can also be found in stamps. I enjoyed every story. I especially chuckled at the attempts on stamps to tell the Italians to pay their taxes. The recursive Nepal stamp is fascinating. I didn't know about recursive stamps before. ... CONGRATULATIONS with your 100th episode!!! Wow, that is a lot of videos! ... Awww, and I am so sorry that you missed winning the Inverted Jenny by such a small margin. 😜
Congrats on reaching the 100th episode milestone! And thank you for all the work you have put in each video to enrich out collective knowledge of our hobby.
I don't know of any other stamps with the Droste effect, but watching this video reminded me of the Pink Floyd album, Ummagumma which has the effect on the cover.Congratulations on the 100th video!
Hi Ted, congratulations on 100 episodes. I’ve been working my way through your back catalogue . I recently watched the episode about supply tips. Do you have tips about Stamp Software? I am trying to help my mom organize/inventory her collection. She’s topical collector Civil Rights, Black Heritage and general Black Americans on US Stamp. We’ve been using Excel, but I saw some software options EZstamps etc. It seems to be geared toward dealers or those with larger collections. What do you use?
I don't use any commercial apps made for philately. I do everything in Word and Excel. However, I have read good things, from users, about StampManage. They offer a 30-day free trial, if you're intrested www.stampcollectingsoftware.com/stampmanage_downloads.htm?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA9dGqBhAqEiwAmRpTC423e9muK10AGtCRqfHqA2HWLjVoQzchKE9JUUAuPBX8i1tQLrNz0BoCbQsQAvD_BwE
Hi Ted - well done in 100 videos!! I found this episode really interesting (as they all are) - wow that inverted Jenny would be great to find in a bunch of stamps wouldn’t it ?!! I will keep looking for it :)
I can't say for sure, but if the pages and the glassine strips have not turned brown by now, I would think it's all right. Think of those so-called "magnetic" photo albums. After a couple years the pages turned brown because the adhesive used to "magnetize" the pages was acidic.
@@tedtalksstampsyep they look like they were made yesterday. I wouldnt even have known its an old album if it didnt say “made in west germany” on the back thanks for the answer
Congrats on episode # 100 ! Great and very informative show. Any updates on your settlement in Germany ?! Greets from GER, U.
I never got an Anmeldung appointment, so I couldn't apply for a residency visa, and my 90 days expired, and we came back to the states. Such is life.🥴
Congratulations on your 100th episode.

Thanks Jeff. I thought I’d found an inverted Jenny in a packet once. Turned out to be just a 4c Lincoln. 🥴
Congratulations on your 100th episode. Now off to look for the bearded lady...
You ever think you’d say something like that?🤣
How is it going in Germany? Did you guys find a final place? I d love to hear how business is over there for you and if you are happy with your move.
As you know by now, the clock ran out on us while waiting for the German bureaucracy. We’re looking forward to Portugal now.
Ive got an old lighthouse stock book probably from the 80s since it says made in west germany is it acid free and safe?
