In this episode we say goodbye to the original Dometic Vent Fan, and install a MaxxAir MaxxFan Deluxe with remote into our 2022 Airstream Globetrotter 23FBT.
Thank You, so far so good, I am very happy with the decision to replace the Dometic original fan. It works everytime, and we can leave it open even if it is sprinkling outside.
Great video! I have a 2023 23FBT Flying Cloud and because of the ultra sensitive rain sensors the ONLY fan that works while taking a shower is the vent hood over the stove 😂
Nice job! Thanks for the detailed video. I appreciate your attention to details and thorough walk-through of the install. Our 2024 Trade Wind did come with a MaxxAire which we are grateful for, however, it's not the Deluxe model. So I'm considering this upgrade. Keep the great vids coming!!!
You are welcome, unfornately there was a couple of clips I had to delete because they were corrupted. Going back to not filming on my iphone to prevent this in the future. Glad you liked the video.
When the fan lid is in the closed position, it is definitely lower than the AC Unit, so the height is still 9 feet 9 inches. I do not travel with the fan on. Good question, Thank You.

Exactly why I replaced the fan, those Dometic fans are a source of frustration.

Did it raise the height of your airstream, or is it still less than the height of your air conditioner?
