My dad and I (from Australia) drove from LA to San Francisco in a red convertible Mustang in 2014. I played this song as we drove into San Fran and we were both so happy. One of the best moments of our father-daughter relationship/friendship. He is my best friend. It was wonderful and I'll never forget it.
Did you do an "Auto Driveaway" from LA to deliver the Mustang? My son and I (from Perth, Western Australia) did an Auto Driveaway (free delivery) of a Ford Taurus sedan in 1996 to a new owner in Spokane, Washington State. It was a very wonderful experience, and we especially enjoyed listening to the Country & Western music on the radio, with the car in Cruise Control while travelling through Oregon. My son was 18 years old and well never forget that experience.

I could only resume my studies the next day...Then some years later I happened to be visiting the States upper State NewYork Catskills.? I met a very good fellow who invited me to San Francisco. But, unfortunately my time there was limited, as my visa was due, to expire within twenty four hours. What a pity...But the memories are never forgotten... This song by the way reminded of the kind heartedness and open mindedness of U American folk back then. Hahaa. It was 1980/81... What a bomb it all was. Hah. Greetings from South Africa...
