She said the guy didn't know how to receive what she was saying, HE DID NOT CARE, hence the reason that he did not have a desire to discuss it with you. He clearly wanted a serious relationship (he is engaged to get married), he just didn't want it with you. But once kids are involved and you’re past 30, you need to know the math of your life and that means lifestyle, savings, kids schooling, retirement, etc. Yes, “six figures” is overused, but $40K is light years from $75K which may live in luxury compared to $115K with debt, bad credit, and child support. This woman is setting herself up for heartache. KNOW THE MATH OF YOUR LIFE.

When you’re young you gotta talk about everything all the time to stay on the same page. I’m 59 retired with a 26 year old daughter and was married once not to my child’s father. That was a disaster. First you must pay the minimum payment and she isn’t paying anything. Then there are other requirements and only so many are forgiven. Now when it comes to military it’s different and I can discuss that in more detail another day being a retired US Naval officer with 2 children who are Air Force officers now. However I now about the educator program because the news program was about an hour long and it was really in depth. It talked about how only 10% or less of submitted loans were forgiven since the program started. I was shocked.
When I entered my now husbands life he wasn’t like right at my level.. but I seen that he was “willingly” and wanting to be better and be great.. and within a few months he had his passport and was on point with being intentional about being a better man, husband and father.
Not necessarily. Student loans can be forgiven after a certain number of payments. They are also lower interest and do not depreciate like a car. But if it is too high and you did get a good job then it was a waste. I have student loans but also excellent credit, and I'm half way done with repayment.

This married thing should be on case by case basis. Divorce even with both parties in agreement could still take 12-18 months for the decree to come through. So people that have been separated and waiting for this paper shouldn't date, look for love? That's a tough one. Kendra should go back to the previous rule and not a hard "no married people"
It was the rule from the beginning….she made provisions. Until someone is divorced they are still married. They can reunite anytime they wish. Unless you have property and assets and not fighting over custody, you can file for divorce without a lawyer. During the time of separation…self reflection should be in order.

Girl I said the same thing! Good thing I wasn't a therapist at the time and actually took time to get myself together before dating again. I am not ashamed of my past AT ALL, I actually think it made me a better person. I'm not in control of what people think of me, but I am in control of whether or not I'm willing to step out of character. I just don't think going there is worth it. I have better things to focus on and I hope as a black woman with a past yourself and you're able to empower other black women with your words of encouragement. Watched her in 2020 on IG when the pandemic first hit and also listened to her on WGCI in Chicago daily that's my hometown. How was Sabrina married for 26 years and divorced 7 years ago at the age of 49 years ago? Meaning she was divorced at the age of 42 and got married at the age of 16 years old. She stated none of the kids were her husband's. The ages of her children are 25, 26, 28, 29 and 30. She's all over the place.

She said the guy didn't know how to receive what she was saying, HE DID NOT CARE, hence the reason that he did not have a desire to discuss it with you. He clearly wanted a serious relationship (he is engaged to get married), he just didn't want it with you. Even when the writing is clearly on the wall, they will still find a way to come up with a story that removes all blame from them and they certainly cannot bring themselves to consider that someone is just not interested in them or what they are offering.

A grown woman with a child not knowing how much she’d like a man to earn in order to fit into her life is insane. My wife and I got married when I was 24 and she was 23. At that stage, it doesn’t matter, we’re just going to grow together. But once kids are involved and you’re past 30, you need to know the math of your life and that means lifestyle, savings, kids schooling, retirement, etc. Yes, “six figures” is overused, but $40K is light years from $75K which may live in luxury compared to $115K with debt, bad credit, and child support. This woman is setting herself up for heartache. KNOW THE MATH OF YOUR LIFE.
I like that you started young and could grow together. A lot of young men think they have to have it all together first. When you’re young you gotta talk about everything all the time to stay on the same page. I’m 59 retired with a 26 year old daughter and was married once not to my child’s father. That was a disaster. I’m happy and have dated a lot. Life almost always takes turns you didn’t expect. Bless you and your family.

The period of time depends on your state of residence. 😊 so the joke here is she probably knows those loan will be forgiven. 3 ways GI Bill, permanent disability, and working as an Educator.

First you must pay the minimum payment and she isn’t paying anything. Then there are other requirements and only so many are forgiven. Now when it comes to military it’s different and I can discuss that in more detail another day being a retired US Naval officer with 2 children who are Air Force officers now. However I now about the educator program because the news program was about an hour long and it was really in depth. It talked about how only 10% or less of submitted loans were forgiven since the program started. I was shocked.

Not necessarily. Student loans can be forgiven after a certain number of payments. They are also lower interest and do not depreciate like a car. But if it is too high and you did get a good job then it was a waste. I have student loans but also excellent credit, and I'm half way done with repayment.

This married thing should be on case by case basis. Divorce even with both parties in agreement could still take 12-18 months for the decree to come through. So people that have been separated and waiting for this paper shouldn't date, look for love? That's a tough one. Kendra should go back to the previous rule and not a hard "no married people"
It was the rule from the beginning….she made provisions. Until someone is divorced they are still married. They can reunite anytime they wish. Unless you have property and assets and not fighting over custody, you can file for divorce without a lawyer. During the time of separation…self reflection should be in order.
