Some sound advice for everyone. You should lightly spray the retaining ring with wd-40 or similar lubricant before trying to remove it. It makes the removal process a whole lot easier.
I'm on the side of the Highway in My Magnum. I believe Mine just Went out at about 180K miles. Car was shuddering as I was driving and as I Came to a slow traffic engine cut off and never came back on. I initially thought it was My throttle Body that I just replaced few weeks earlier that just went out again. But, as I kept cranking the car(or Turning ignition to,) I don't hear the Fuel Pump Prime. I'm suspecting it's the Fuel Pump. Since I was sitting here, I was gonna order New Fuel Pumps. But, I don't have My Test Light, Multimeter or any tools to do some diagnosis to confirm the Fuel Pump is Dead. So, I'm waiting on a Tow Truck to come get Me and the Wag.
Ok...mine was on so tight that my welded together 1/2 inch mild steel bar stock literally twisted the nut i welded to it around its shaft... I found a way to get it though, ive got an engineers hammer, big old one handed sledge called the persuader. I took that and a prybar from harbor freight and whacked it real good several times to turn it... it finally gave.
Wow! Thank you for this comment. I’m going to get it, I almost got discouraged because of that key he mentioned. I just knew it was going to be expensive
I installed mine. It started after plugging everything in and then I go to start it this morning and it didn't start. Fuel pump turns on but car only cranks. I took the metal hose clamp off that was on the hose that goes to the pump if I put a clamp back on will it work or did I mess it all up?
Safe to say mine might be on its way out sitting currently at 277k miles lol. I know it's never been changed as it was a fleet vehicle for the company I currently work for before I bought it. 05 dodge magnum with 3.5
Also, I have seen videos of people only changing just one of the pumps (Mainly the drivers side? . So is it just one that one Pump that's powering both side? 🤔
I think when doing a video you should do a start to finish so everyone can see what your doin without all the talking about Nthn except for what you doin

Thanks for the video and I’m happy to see that you still have all your ten fingers.
Taking off that ring was such a pain I had to get violently angry to get it off and back on with a short 3/4 ratchet. Hulk smash!

So basically other than the getting the first ring off, this is a fairly easy job?

Does the side o change first matter?
Is it the same procedure for a 5.7? Or do a couple things change ?
It is the same for any Magnum, Charger and Challenger since they use the same tank and setup.
maybe if you used the right hammer?
SOAKE IT WITH PB BLASTER OT WD40 LET IT SOAK A LITTLE WHILE THAT WILL HELP
