*Update* The bear ears have been found! Yay! Also, regarding the flash camera, thanks for reminding me that my phone has a flash option! I've tried to turn it on multiple times, but the flash never works, so I kinda forgot about it. But it's definitely something I can look into figuring out for a future video. I like the shrek ears I think they're cute. And sometime when you sre trying to put on the flash you click auto instead of on. So make sure your pressing on not auto or off

As a general rule, a silica-based product should never be marketed as "photo-ready." Camera-ready, as in HD videography would make sense, but silica is the first ingredient artists are told to avoid when it comes to flashback.

Uhh bruhhh, we get how the profit margins go Ulta😒😒 I've already vowed at the beginning of '23, none of my makeup products would cost over $15 but more than that, no perfume more than $50 and more affordable skincare. I'm done being used by this industry..end rant that no one asked for.😂😂
With the way the prices are increasing...it's getting harder and harder to even find drug store makeup under $15 bucks. I can't imagine what it's going to be like by next year.

As a person who is rubbish at applying false eyelashes with my arthritic fingers…I love using magnetic eyeliners and lashes. So easy to use and allows for not being able to do the fine control placements. The lashes & eyeliner kind of find each other.
Is there a brand you prefer? I’m in the bad hand club, too, and while I normally go for smudgy goth (lean into whatcha got, right?), I’d like the ability to do falsies sometimes…
I use that Nyx powder most of the time, and have deep dark skin. I think you do need to use a setting spray to avoid the 📸 back. I will say I have also added some of my matte foundation powder to the container to make sure the color doesn't do me wrong after using a different company in a rush.

Edit: I re-watched my video on Twitter that I posted about this and it is not the same brand. The brand I used (that injured me) was KISS brand.
That doesn't have anything to do with the "magnetic" aspect of the liner. There's nothing making the liner "magnetic" that would, or even could cause "chemical burns." The only reason they are magnetic is because of the high concentration of iron oxides (which are present in almost every single tinted cosmetic on the market). That was clearly an issue with some other ingredient in the individual product you used.... Not trying to belittle your experience, but I'm just saying 🤷
@@diamondsngunns88 Yes, I went to my ophthalmologist. It was an emergency appointment, as the office was closed, but he was kind enough to meet me there, and was able to treat me. When the liner dripped into my eye, it turned into sharp pieces of some thing and then whatever chemical was used was able to penetrate my eye. Luckily, I did not end up with any permanent loss of vision. Thank God!
The biggest mistake Benefit ever made was discontinuing Hello Flawless and replacing it with Hello Happy. The Hello Flawless powder foundation was absolutely amazing. It was so lightweight and it felt like nothing was on your skin.
Ulta never gives me samples or goodie bags or anything. Either nothing I bought has a free gift or they're out of the free gifts. I literally spend thousands and thousands of dollars there and it makes me uncomfortably angry
I think the Shrek ears are super cute! I've used the NYX powder for yrs and never had a problem. It's a little 'dusty' when you first open a new one..but it's a good powder. (My phone has a flash) I love a good eye & face primer so this was interesting. 😊

So, with the magnetic lashes, you can wait for it to dry 100%. This will prevent the lashes from pulling off the liner and sticking to the magnet. Also, I buy the Demi-wispies that only have 3 magnets so I don’t have to cut them at all. I think magnetic lashes are brilliant and there are lots of different types of magnetic liner (including the potted kind that you can use with your own brush of choice).
I think the cheek dews are just extremely inconsistent. I bought 3 in one order and 2 of them arrived separated, and no matter how much I shake those just slightly tinted oil comes out. It’s too wet so it not only removes base makeup but even on bare skin, everytime you pat it while blending it gets picked up and moved around so you end up with a ring of slight pigment with none in the middle. The 1 I got that wasn’t separated still has not separated (about a year later) and is a much thicker formula. Still not a great product but it actually works
Ulta has bear ears. I bought them and love them. I also bought a Mickey Mouse headband from Amazon. You should be able to take a flash photo with your cellphone.
Always love these videos but an idea you could throw in is buying the worst rated or best rated brush sets and only using them during the worst and best videos to get an idea of brush sets! Just an idea for you! Definitely like to know good and bad brushes.
I actually really like those magnetic lashes. I always put down a regular liner first, to get my actual liner look (because the magnetic liner breaks up throughout the day), then put the magnetic liner down just at the very base of my lashes (almost on my lashes themselves), so that it doesn't go above the regular liner. I don't have to trim the lash all the way down to the second magnet for them to still lay correctly, but you can also stack the trimmed part on top of the magnet-less end, and it anchors the lash down in place.

I freaking LOVE ColourPop Cheek Dew. The separation issue is definitely from it being open over time. I found it happening after a couple of months. Shaking it and gently squeezing from the sides of the tube will mix it back together. That's not something a customer should have to do, but I like it enough to deal with it. ETA: I also don't need it to last "all day"; on the reg I wear makeup probably 5 hours. (I can't afford to try or invest in a lot of products and I prefer liquid blushes, so CP is it until it's not.)
Great video! I have the NYX HD powder and I like to mix it in my bare minerals powder foundation to lighten it up for my winter complexion. I bet it would work well with any loose powder foundation.
The cheek dews work really good as a layering product, so what I do is I apply that first if I'm wearing it that day I'll let it sit and then I will put powder blush on top of it

I was so excited for the Stila lipsticks. I love their liquid lipsticks, so I thought they’d be comfortable like those. I searched a couple of colors on my hand and my hand felt soooo dry and tight. I can only imagine how it would feel on the lips!
Putting concealer on with my fingers is my favorite lol but I tap tap tap I don’t swipe…turns out much smoother u gotta try the physicians formula butter concealer it’s beautiful on textured under eyes and surprisingly doesn’t crease which is great cuz I hate powder lol so my under eyes look more youthful with it!!! Gotta try!!!!
Oh, Stila. I used to love their products, especially their powder foundation. It’s sad how cool brands go downhill as soon as Estée Lauder buys them. It always seems to be Lauder.
The take remove waterproof mascara and possibly the magnetic lash eyeliner you should try a bi-facil cleanser like the one from Lancome. I find balm cleansers horrible at removing waterproof mascara and that is all I wear. Great video! ❤
Loved this! But - as far as Tarte goes, I’m now believing that they are bent on losing their longtime customers. Just yesterday I emailed them asking about my favorite lip product of all time; was told it’s been discontinued. That’s 4-5 discontinuations of really highly rated products since I started with them. They just don’t care what their customers love, and obviously don’t bother reading the reviews left on THEIR site. So…I’m back to searching. Truly breaks my heart - the items in question were SO GOOD!!

I used to buy all their tartiest matte lip paints and now none of their lip products have staying power like the lip paints did they just keep coming out with glosses or other lip products. I’ve now bought matte lip products from Bare Minerals and Milani and am happy with their performance. Tarte keeps putting out products I’m just not interested in!
Me too - it was my first powder and I hated it so I gave it to a pale friend. Took me forever to try another powder again cos I was sure I was the problem. One sample of Huda powder later and I realized that - no, it was just a shitty product. Tho that Huda stinks, I haven't found better for my skin.
I remember trying that NYX powder. I’m not a fan. I’m as light as light can be. It looked ashy on me. Not to mention, it didn’t matter where I put it or how- it looked dry and highlighted texture on my skin everywhere. It just was a big no.
❤ I'm always super late with my comment, but it pretty much is who I am. 😂 Ok, the Maneater mascara is a fave of mine since the Maneater palette came out last year! 😅 It's not a super volume formula, but my lashes remain separated and pretty. The one I find "Ulta problematic" is the new waterproof IT! (blue tube) I swear 3x it left a 🐼 wet mascara panda face. For $28, I only kept it for 2 free full sized promo products offered!! 😢🤓
I like all Tarte mascara. Lights Canera lashes or whatever it’s called is by far the best. I like the Maneater mascara but found it gets quite gloopy or clumpy towards the end of its life IMO. Stops you from using it too long i suppose. I’m currently using the Shape Tape tubing mascara. It’s meh! But i compare all tubing mascaras to Thrive Causemetics mascara which is my number 1 mascara.
With the cheek dew all you have to do is shake it if it separates like most things. I’m not sure why people in reviews have a hard time understanding that 😭
I have 2 that are separated and NO MATTER how much or how hard I shake it, all that comes out is the oil layer. It just won’t mix. It’s a formula issue, not human error
I absolutely love the NYX powder - I use it so much it's actually one of my subscription items on Amazon. I've never had an issue with flash - maybe the amount used is what's making the difference? Or maybe it has something to do with having very oily skin vs having drier skin. By the way it's also amazing as a dry shampoo powder.
I personally believe it has something to do with pressing the powder in with a sponge as opposed to brushing it on with a brush. I’m pretty pale and have to use white powders a lot and I believe that tends to be the issue with using too much on the skin.
Some magnetic lashes are better than others. Good ones will have more magnets so you can measure them to your eyes. Magnetic liners should be interchangeable lol. Idk I liked the mlm tori belle lashes but I don't like mlms anymore lol.
they make those white powders for me with my copy paper tinted skin 😭😭 honestly I don’t take flash photos so the hyper white powders work for me. who is hyper white.

If you’re on an iPhone you have to click the arrow on the top middle portion and go to the bottom to manually turn on flash. Hope this helps 😅

That palette looks more cool toned than the picture, and also more cool toned than I would expect from a palette is supposed to be amber tones.

The Ulta brow tint was something I used everyday but they changed the wand, and now it’s just odd to use. It Was a good product.
That lip color is very pretty though!

The Clinique eye primer doesn’t work on dry eyelids. Powder eyeshadow just disappears when I used it.

I remember trying that NYX powder. I’m not a fan. I’m as light as light can be. It looked ashy on me. Not to mention, it didn’t matter where I put it or how- it looked dry and highlighted texture on my skin everywhere. It just was a big no.

Ok, the Maneater mascara is a fave of mine since the Maneater palette came out last year! 😅 It's not a super volume formula, but my lashes remain separated and pretty. The one I find "Ulta problematic" is the new waterproof IT! (blue tube) I swear 3x it left a 🐼 wet mascara panda face. For $28, I only kept it for 2 free full sized promo products offered!! 😢🤓
I like all Tarte mascara. Lights Canera lashes or whatever it’s called is by far the best.
I like the Maneater mascara but found it gets quite gloopy or clumpy towards the end of its life IMO. Stops you from using it too long i suppose.
I’m currently using the Shape Tape tubing mascara. It’s meh! But i compare all tubing mascaras to Thrive Causemetics mascara which is my number 1 mascara.

Micellar water, cotton round or reusable round hold on eyes 20-30 seconds then gently rub. B4 using your cleaning balm. Always with mascara and liner.

With the cheek dew all you have to do is shake it if it separates like most things. I’m not sure why people in reviews have a hard time understanding that 😭
I have 2 that are separated and NO MATTER how much or how hard I shake it, all that comes out is the oil layer. It just won’t mix. It’s a formula issue, not human error
@@xErinxx well I’ve never had that problem and know others who haven’t had that problem. It mixes just fine for me. Maybe yours is expired

I absolutely love the NYX powder - I use it so much it's actually one of my subscription items on Amazon. I've never had an issue with flash - maybe the amount used is what's making the difference? Or maybe it has something to do with having very oily skin vs having drier skin. By the way it's also amazing as a dry shampoo powder.
I personally believe it has something to do with pressing the powder in with a sponge as opposed to brushing it on with a brush. I’m pretty pale and have to use white powders a lot and I believe that tends to be the issue with using too much on the skin.

Some magnetic lashes are better than others. Good ones will have more magnets so you can measure them to your eyes. Magnetic liners should be interchangeable lol. Idk I liked the mlm tori belle lashes but I don't like mlms anymore lol.
they make those white powders for me with my copy paper tinted skin 😭😭 honestly I don’t take flash photos so the hyper white powders work for me. who is hyper white.
