She also sold a lot of Maxwell House coffee for them in commercials in the late 1970's when there was a re-birth of interest in The Wizard of Oz. She had that loving, trusting grandmotherly demeanor and appearance. They can be seen on RUclips. Both Hamilton and Bolger made their commercials about the only ones we kids then didn't mind watching. Smart marketing.
I think it was in the 1970's that Ray Bolger and Margaret Hamilton co-starred in a play together in New York. I can't remember if it was on or off Broadway. I heard the show was a hit and very popular while it ran. I guess it was because of the audience's love for The Wizard of Oz.
