Quite a hidden gem is Arroyo. Arroyo is of course part of Benalmadena. Always love to view it from the train station when arriving. It's about 20 minutes from the Airport and costs less than a few euros. I go there very regularly and have been doing so for over 40 years. The town has changed /expanded greatly, yet has retained a good bit of 'Old Spain'. The people are really nice, and Arroyo could be described as very Spanish but there are plenty of people from all over Europe enjoying themselves there. It has plenty of really good restaurants and bars, none of which could be described as expensive, During the day the sky is usually bright blue, and it is rarely cold ,wet, or excessively hot. Again some great places to enjoy a coffee and watch the World go by. Also plenty of shops / supermarkets of the type that have almost disappeared off British streets. The beach is about a 20 minute walk away, and if you want a bit of honky tonk, then Bonanza / Ibenza squares are are about a 10 minute stroll, and the Marina is a bit further. A very safe, and clean place place, and there is usually a good Police presence about. Great video well done to whoever made it. The kids seem to know and love you,
thank you so much🙏🙏🙏for your comment. I've said it all about arroyo, It sounds like you have a deep affection for Arroyo and a wealth of experience from visiting over the years! Your description paints a vivid picture of a charming and vibrant town that has managed to blend the old with the new seamlessly.
