Damn right it’s Arizona. It’s Barringer crater. I saw this movie as a kid, and because how the film ends, I thought the meteor crater was up some lonely and dusty desert road. Decades later, now I live in Arizona. Once my wife and I visited Barringer crater. We were on a motorcycle road trip, and I was sweating taking my sport bike up some miles and miles long dirt road in the middle of nowhere. We rode down the interstate from Holbrook, past Winslow, and get off the interstate, and there’s a perfectly smooth asphalt road all the way to the damn college and museum on the craters edge. There a freaking RV park for it just off the interstate.
Which way? Left, right? I have no idea where we’re going!, she’s like. He then uses the fireball to form the map of the United States on the windshield, points to Arizona: “Do you know where that place is?” Jenny:”Well, if over here is California and down here this is Texas, then I guess this is-Arizona, maybe?” Of course she knows it’s Arizona; it’s just that’ she’s too shook up to think or talk properly. Also being too shook up to start the car.
I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some, uh, people out there in our nation don't have maps and, uh, I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and, I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, or, uh, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future. For our children.
Jeff Bridges was just amazing in this. One of the best human aliens in a movie.
I think i'm obsessed with this scene. I like the sound it makes at 1:28. When the light ball rises.
Me as well.
"Aaaaaah!!!" AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!" "Aaaah!!" I love their initial exchange of greetings. Makes me laugh every time. Talk about art imitating life!
Love this movie. Jeff Bridges should have won some kind of award for this, and so should Karen Allen have.
Jeff was able to learn recreation sequence
Quite quickly to catch on
He was nominated for an Academy Award for this
The whole movie imo is very touching. Opinions can differ of course.
Cheers...

What kinda GPS were U using?
The first GPS, from 1984!
Long before the days of actual GPS’s!
The first GPS satellites were launched in the 1970s.
@@MrJamieMurph4141969 The first GPS satellites went up in the 1970s.
Sarcasm please.

why never a sequel?
There was a short-lived TV series, which mostly acts as a sequel to the film.
I don't think it needs one.
@@KidaMilo89 Precisely. The story was all told in this film.
I person would rather watch the gayness of Batman.
