Patient has undergone interval ORIF of comminuted proximal second, third, and fourth metacarpal shaft fractures to near-anatomic alignment with presence of K wires and cerclage wires. Bone detail obscured by overlying plaster cast. Just saying I had that done on my second through 5th shafts
oh god. I have Closed desplaced fractjre of base of fifth metacarpal and closed non displaced fracture of base of fourth metacarpal. Hopefully they can do a closed reduction. I currently have a splint and am waiting until Monday to contact an orthopedic Dr. for a follow up. Am already on 60mg morphine a day and they said if they do this surgery it will mean even more drugs. Hurts like a bitch already lol.
Had this surgery done yesterday . 2nd metacarpal . 2 screws . Fèeling some pain but mostly is disconfort. I can move all my fingers
