@@FBA-NinjaI think that's what person meant though: that Cyclops got stuck being forced to edgy and look like the bad guy for over a decade, largely to prop Wolverine up even more.
People don't understand how important that landing scene was. Cyclops' life was ruined because he barely survived a plane crash that shattered his family. Now he's all grown up and land safely thanks to his power. It's like poetry
Love that cyclops getting the respect he deserves. The coolest character ever and the rightful leader of the X-men. Need the MCU to do him Justice whenever they end up doing X-men
Kevin Feige has said repeatedly that Cyclops is his favorite X-Man. And he has significantly more pull now after the MCU's recent failures, when he has less control.
They just might, if this show can make him popular again. The mcu will see the value of Cyclops being properly portrayed, and they can finally let Hugh Jackman rest
@thejakker6369 Get your mind out of the gutter, he meant that Marvel always kept on pushing Wolverine to the forefront since at the time, Cyclops was greatly disrespected in the movies and comics.
Okay everyone has already how cool the fight scene is but the freefall one is so badass. As soon as he realizes his situation he goes into action and has a plan set in motion and seeing that huge optic blast and him landing in the hero pose is so cool
The idea of Scott using his optic blasts to increase his maneuverability as his powers don’t boost natural stats is one I’ve never seen before but now want to see much more of.
So happy to see a show that actually cares about Cyclops and does justice to the character. The only other shows I know that actually did the character justice was in X-Men Evolution and the 1992 X-Men: TAS. Much like Superman media likes to depict Scott as a boring boyscout
@@INFERNO95 That was the reputation he had up until Grant Morrison wrote him. Up until then, he was more or less the stick in the mud the TAS portrayed him as.

Dude, Morph transforms into Angel to grab WOLVERINE... Logan could just hit the ground with little to no damage. And Cyclops only started his landing procedure after everyone was safe. Damn! You gotta respect mr. Summers!
I’m just glad that they LEANED INTO the fact that they aren’t eye lasers, but force beams. Using it as basically an extra tool not only to hit, reposition, and reduce momentum.
Love this! Cyclops, Gohan, Nightwing, SUPERMAN! These past 5 years have been really setting us up to get our noble A-Kickers back in their pure boyscout glory!
Man you can't just point out that he's the X-Mens Captain America and leave out his epic line after the superhero landing. It's like his own "AVENGERS! ASSEMBLE!" "To me, my X-men!"
A big part of the reason I gave up comics the last 10 or so years was because of the treatment of Cyclops. I actually liked the Utopia era, Cyclops basically being forced by M-Day to become the default leader of all mutants, he moved the surviving mutants to Asteroid M and turned it into a mutant nation while Norman Osborn ran the Avengers and SHIELD, and how Wolverine, Magneto, Professor X, and Namor all came to defer to him. But then Schism and Avengers vs X-Men came along and basically turned Cyclops into a mutant Grand Wizard and I hated AvX and a bunch of other stuff that came out around the same time and just gave up.
i liked the focus on Scott's insecurities and leadership capability, we realy didn't get that in the Trilogy. Also made me realize how much Wolverine is featured in those as well. It was strange yet on-brand seeing him be a side character that didn't talk much
I've always liked Cyclops, but a lot of media, both movies, animation and even comics have not always been kind to him... Great to see him being treated with respect again.
Bro I just watched this show and I have been WAITING to see someone talk about that scene, I didn’t know much about the x-men or cyclops before watching and I never even conceived that his powers could be used that way. So cool!!
Real ones been down with Cyclops. Street Fighter vs. X-Men and Marvel.vs Capcom Showed you.just how nasty he was in a fight Him and Iceman you're damn near unbeatable
On thing about the fight scene. Cyclops doesn't need to touch his visor to operate it. He also has a backup trigger sewn into his right glove. Because always touching your face to use your powers is a weakness.
In movies: All the team is in mission, they still have a tought time beating the villains. X-men 97: They almost win with just Cyclops, Storm and Bishop, but then you include the rest of the team and end up playing with the villains while they are beating them up. The point is that everyone is capable and the fights end quickly unless they are distracted like in the second episode or are fighting someone too powerful like in the third episode.
Somebody on the writing team is a Cyclops stan & I can’t even be mad.
It was Beau Demayo he loved that character
Honestly he has been given so much crud over the years it’s nice to see a more balanced version of him instead of the edgy one we always see nowadays
@rungunninja1289 it's not even an edgy version...it's how he actually is in the comics!

I have to admit that was one of the sickest landings I'd seen in a long time. I'm glad they finally started putting some more respect into him.

The voice actor’s voice sounds like he’s 70. Very ole timey delivery
Scott Summers is the leader of the X-Men for a reason. The MvC games did him more justice than the movies.
“TO ME, MY X-MEN” 🗣️🔥

His real superpower is strong neck muscles.

i started reading comics in like 90. i ALWAYS have loved cyclops. and thought he wasnt no joke
I've been a Cyclops fan since the Uncanny X-Men and he definitely deserves this. We need more of this Cyclops.
That Fight scene and landing is Cyclops basically playing New Game +.

Cyclops first used his powers while falling off a plane. He used his beams to do exactly that. Save him and Alex, his brother
