Thanks for posting. I first saw this on Parkinson in 1974 when I was just 15. So, it's 35 years since I last saw it.
On the show with Kaps was Ricky Jay, who did some brilliant card magic.

The true master at work, despite the 'street magic' child's comments below.

@RS1963 So Dai Vernon wouldn't have been fit to shine your shoes? That does surprise me.

Bloke in the stripey top was bored out of his skull by it all. Just look at his body language. If you can't keep the assistants involved what hope is there!?

@RS1963 Well I'd disagree there. Bongers was a great magician of his era but he couldn't have survived today. This old false counting magic would not stand up on Today's TV. It is too slow and boring. We need crucial street magic - levitations and card through shop windows and coins in soda cans.

he could not only survive but shine well at any time, at that time he was ahead of time so if he born in 80's, now he would be one of the best

Hilariously wrong. Crucial street magic? Wtf is that exactly...your own made up genre? False counts are used in tricks from bannon to sadowitz to many modern fucking amazingly talented magicians of today. Erm, I do not include mediocre performers like criss Angel in that. He's a turkey. And you're a twat. Every comment I ever see by you is full of ego and put downs. Fucking lowlife wanker.

This was booooring. Old false counts and spelling routines are about as much use today as a windscreen wiper on a pig's arse.

@@1983banana1983 It was a terrible effect and you know it. That sort of stuff is what gets magic a bad name. Nobody performs that today.
