Gray and him always bullied each other, and Erza kept them in line. Lisanna was his one true friend during that time, and we all know that with childhood friendships, feelings have more time to bloom. Well, Happy is technically the child of Natsu and Lisanna, which adds to the feelings implied between them. In he short time that Lucy and Natsu knew each other, it was apparent that Natsu didn't have much more thought to their relationship besides friendship and partners. I imagine that should Lucy dissapear and be assumed dead, Natsu would have a similar reaction to what it was with Lisanna, but mind you Natsu has more of a connection with Lisanna. Also, Lisanna has always accepted Natsu for what he is, Lucy very often criticizes him ( Out of shock, or just big fed up. But regardless she does it.) And Natsu does the same with Lisanna. That type of understanding can only come from a deeper relationship between two people. Which is why so many of us feel as though NaLi is such a great pairing. Also, let's put it into another perspective, let's say that a girl or guy you liked moves, and you don't get to see them for a while, after time you move on and accept it, while meeting another person that sparks the passionate flame of a crush. But, suddenly that old significant other comes back, and you now find yourself conflicted as old feelings rise back to the surface. You know the older one better, as she or he does you. You get along better as well. Who would you pick?
The FT fandom treats Lisanna like crap literally for just being alive. It makes me so sad, Lisanna is so selfless and sweet. She always puts everyone's needs before her own and GOD I LOVE HER
The thing is that Lisanna was really the first person that Natsu liked after Igneel left. She was there to comfort him and Natsu has never once challenged her to a fight or do anything that may have hurt her. When Lisanna was crying during the S-class arc Natsu was understanding and he and Happy comforted her. No matter if you think they should end up married or that Natsu should be with Lucy you have to admit that Lisanna deserves more screen time and to have a closer and more open bond with N
I'm not a die hard Natsu x Lisanna fan, but Lucy is always questioning if Natsu is a guy even worth liking for most of the series while Lisanna definitely didn't need to even think about it. Until Lisanna was pushed to the side that was a better ship, but afterward it wasn't even fair. Natsu x Lucy still good though. My two cents.

There's episode here where natsu reminisce about lisanna when he and happy had misunderstandings because of fish and he remembered lisanna telling him not to fight with happy because no matter what happy is still their son!! And that was the time they caught my heart!! Nali shipper forever!!!!
Lisanna may not have had that much screen time, but even so she is still one of my favorite Fairy Tail characters. During those flashbacks of her and Natsu, all i could think about was how sweet and kind she was and about how i wished she was still alive so that she and Natsu could be together. When Lisanna returned from Edolas. Words can not describe how happy i was and when she, Mirajane and Elfman was reunited. That was the first time in my life that i have cryed a single happy tear. Fairy Tail is awesome as it is but all i really want to happen in the new series is for Natsu and Lisanna to admit their love for each other.

I like both ships. Natsu and Lucy are friends who are always there for each other. Natsu and Lisanna are childhood friends with a (rather cute) history. NaLu is being built up, but NaLi seems more natural and sweeter. Honestly, if it weren't Lucy being the first to appear on screen, I think NaLi would be the premier ship of Fairy Tail.
Just no. Natsu never showed any interest in Lisanna. But Lucy on the other hand is different cause even though he only known her for a couple of days, he feels some type of bond and connection with her for him to want her make a team with him.

Natsu has shown to have a great bond with Lisanna, but for one reason or another, Mashima made Lisanna more dead by bringing her back to life. With Lucy, I just don't feel a natural connection. I get the bond of them being friends, maybe siblings almost, but nothing romantic. I also feel that many of their scenes together feel forced, like Mashima putting them together just because they're the main characters. It's just not my thing.

It's such a great video: the song, the story of Natsu and Lisanna, how they raised Happy, their later hardships. They are so adorable, and then it's so heartbreaking, and there are Mira and Elfman (the scene of Lisanna's "death" is tear-jerking partly because of Mirajane's reaction to it, and it's the same with the reunion of Strauss siblings), and other Fairy Tail members they grew up with, and...! Well, I simply adore it - you did a great job. Thumbs up :)

I don't like any shippings that have to do with Natsu, YET. I've only watched the first 48 episodes of Fairy Tail (thanks to f*doing NETFLIX), so I haven't seen Lisanna enough to understand NaLi. Lucy is nothing, and I mean NOTHING, for Natsu. I understand that she follows Natsu around everywhere, and that Natsu always feels the need to kick someone's ass if they threaten Lucy, but Lucy likes Natsu as a friend. Also, I believe Natsu protects Lucy for two reasons: 1.she's a good friend (despite being weak and complainy), and 2. He doesn't want another Lisanna incident. Neither of those have to do with being in love (though it's understandable that reason #1 could turn into romance), so I just FORGET NaLu purposefully, because it is NOT gonna happen. If anyone knows some things about Lisanna that connect to NaLi, please tell me because I am not going on a stupid website just to hear all about NaLi and no Lisanna alone. I might grow into NaLi, because Those two DID look cute together as kids...

I don't know about Gray and Juvia though. I think that might not happen. Gray doesn't seem to like her. I think there might be something between Gray and Ultear. Juvia might wind up with Lyon.
I really hate how after Lisanna returned, Hiro Mashima just completely sidelined her for the rest of the series. I feel like he unintentionally led us NaLi shippers on with all the past story scenes with her, then realized what he'd done and tried to push too hard with all the recent NaLu scenes that, in my opinion, feel like random spam without any basis or background. Unlike a good author who would've let what has developed evolve as it went on, he had to try to force his own original idea back into the story, thus ruining the romantic side of the main character's story.

I think this is what love should be, they have a long history together and she's the only one he truly listen to, the only one that can talk him down especially when he's angry. They had a life together before Lucy came in the picture and she was forever on his mind during her absent, now that she's back he's even more happy. Plus they did promise to marry each other in the future and they already have a baby, "Happy," they raised together. They have that chemistry that Lucy can't compete with like Ezra and Jellal. I think Natsu feel responsible for Lucy because he was the one who brought her to the guild in the first place, its more of a brother sister relationship to me. NaLi all the way...
As much as I wanted Lucy and Natsu to get together...I don't want that anymore. The moment they revealed Lisana I started thinking "maybe Lucy can help heal his heart". Then boom she's still alive. I want Lucy to get with someone by the end of the series, but not necessarily Natsu. Its hard to say if once they wrap up the story who they will put him with, because they constantly have scenes that hint towards Natsu and Lisanna thinking of each other as more than just "friends", but like you said I think the majority want Natsu and Lucy to be together because she's been there since the start of the series. I think they have those little scenes that hint towards Natsu and Lisanna maybe liking each other in an attempt to sway the popular vote away from Lucy and on to Lisanna.

There's also the grave Natsu made for her and knew she smiled when she was"dead". So, you can tell that he loved her and Lisanna loved him and missed him the most like her brother and sister the years she was gone. So, that proves that they loved each other. honest opinion- i think lisanna is a sweet character and DID have a strong connection in the PAST.lucy met him LATER ON and guess what after she was gone he got over it,after she came back he was over with her. Sorry guys NALU will last ,NALI was gone a long time ago .
NaLu is what I believe the author intended from the beginning. NaLi evolved as the story went on (at least while Lisanna was "dead"). So, if Hiro Mashima would've let things go with the flow, Natsu would probably end up with Lisanna in the end. But since he's so adamant on NaLu, Fairy Tail is officially failing on the romance department for Natsu. So far, all the NaLu scenes shown are either: 1. ecchi/fanservice scenes that happen to occur with them, 2. suspension bridge effect whenever Lucy is saved by Natsu (which happens a lot, considering how bad she is at fighting), and/or 3. completely one-sided, since Natsu has never exhibited any actual attraction towards Lucy (and no he is not a tsundere, he legitimately has never shown interest towards Lucy as anything beyond a friend)

NaLu is too generic of a ship if you ask me; besides, in most anime the first girl shown is the last girl won (only exceptions I can think of being Shuffle!, Steins;Gate, and both adaptations of Kanon). Looking at Natsu's character, he's either extremely dense that he doesn't realize Lucy's developing feelings towards him or he's always had his heart set on Lisanna. Both might be true, but I think the latter is truer. On an unrelated note, I find it funny that I was going through my NaLi Stuff playlist and this video was going to start next when I saw this notification show up.
ILessThan3Trolling I highly doubt Natsu is COMPLETELY dense when it comes to females showing interest in him. After all, he still blushes and gets embarrassed whenever Lisanna pushes her iconic "Natsu's wife" thing on him. Yet, whenever he ends up in close proximity with a naked Lucy, his immediate response is a flat "Lucy's a pervert" or something similar, which doesn't really imply him having any feelings for her right?
Personally, I have just about accepted NaLu to be the final result in the official cannon, but I will continue to ship NaLi beyond even my dying breaths, and several subtle and minor things in the show just strengthen my faith. In the meantime, I've got a crap ton of NaLi AMVs to watch and some fan fic to read.
I think people likes Nalu since they we're together since episode 1 and has many scenes together but if you look deeper in the anime you'll realize Lisanna is much better regarding from the history and the current story it's more genuine and romantic I SHIP NALI I REGRET NOTHING

I'm not a die hard Natsu x Lisanna fan, but Lucy is always questioning if Natsu is a guy even worth liking for most of the series while Lisanna definitely didn't need to even think about it. Until Lisanna was pushed to the side that was a better ship, but afterward it wasn't even fair. Natsu x Lucy still good though. My two cents.

Lisanna may not have had that much screen time, but even so she is still one of my favorite Fairy Tail characters. During those flashbacks of her and Natsu, all i could think about was how sweet and kind she was and about how i wished she was still alive so that she and Natsu could be together. When Lisanna returned from Edolas. Words can not describe how happy i was and when she, Mirajane and Elfman was reunited. That was the first time in my life that i have cryed a single happy tear. Fairy Tail is awesome as it is but all i really want to happen in the new series is for Natsu and Lisanna to admit their love for each other.

I like both ships. Natsu and Lucy are friends who are always there for each other. Natsu and Lisanna are childhood friends with a (rather cute) history. NaLu is being built up, but NaLi seems more natural and sweeter. Honestly, if it weren't Lucy being the first to appear on screen, I think NaLi would be the premier ship of Fairy Tail.

Natsu has shown to have a great bond with Lisanna, but for one reason or another, Mashima made Lisanna more dead by bringing her back to life. With Lucy, I just don't feel a natural connection. I get the bond of them being friends, maybe siblings almost, but nothing romantic. I also feel that many of their scenes together feel forced, like Mashima putting them together just because they're the main characters. It's just not my thing.

I don't like any shippings that have to do with Natsu, YET. I've only watched the first 48 episodes of Fairy Tail (thanks to f*doing NETFLIX), so I haven't seen Lisanna enough to understand NaLi.
Lucy is nothing, and I mean NOTHING, for Natsu. I understand that she follows Natsu around everywhere, and that Natsu always feels the need to kick someone's ass if they threaten Lucy, but Lucy likes Natsu as a friend. Also, I believe Natsu protects Lucy for two reasons: 1.she's a good friend (despite being weak and complainy), and 2. He doesn't want another Lisanna incident. Neither of those have to do with being in love (though it's understandable that reason #1 could turn into romance), so I just FORGET NaLu purposefully, because it is NOT gonna happen.
If anyone knows some things about Lisanna that connect to NaLi, please tell me because I am not going on a stupid website just to hear all about NaLi and no Lisanna alone. I might grow into NaLi, because Those two DID look cute together as kids...

I really hate how after Lisanna returned, Hiro Mashima just completely sidelined her for the rest of the series. I feel like he unintentionally led us NaLi shippers on with all the past story scenes with her, then realized what he'd done and tried to push too hard with all the recent NaLu scenes that, in my opinion, feel like random spam without any basis or background. Unlike a good author who would've let what has developed evolve as it went on, he had to try to force his own original idea back into the story, thus ruining the romantic side of the main character's story.

I think this is what love should be, they have a long history together and she's the only one he truly listen to, the only one that can talk him down especially when he's angry. They had a life together before Lucy came in the picture and she was forever on his mind during her absent, now that she's back he's even more happy. Plus they did promise to marry each other in the future and they already have a baby, "Happy," they raised together. They have that chemistry that Lucy can't compete with like Ezra and Jellal. I think Natsu feel responsible for Lucy because he was the one who brought her to the guild in the first place, its more of a brother sister relationship to me. NaLi all the way...

Its hard to say if once they wrap up the story who they will put him with, because they constantly have scenes that hint towards Natsu and Lisanna thinking of each other as more than just "friends", but like you said I think the majority want Natsu and Lucy to be together because she's been there since the start of the series. I think they have those little scenes that hint towards Natsu and Lisanna maybe liking each other in an attempt to sway the popular vote away from Lucy and on to Lisanna.

NaLu is what I believe the author intended from the beginning. NaLi evolved as the story went on (at least while Lisanna was "dead"). So, if Hiro Mashima would've let things go with the flow, Natsu would probably end up with Lisanna in the end. But since he's so adamant on NaLu, Fairy Tail is officially failing on the romance department for Natsu. So far, all the NaLu scenes shown are either: 1. ecchi/fanservice scenes that happen to occur with them, 2. suspension bridge effect whenever Lucy is saved by Natsu (which happens a lot, considering how bad she is at fighting), and/or 3. completely one-sided, since Natsu has never exhibited any actual attraction towards Lucy (and no he is not a tsundere, he legitimately has never shown interest towards Lucy as anything beyond a friend)

Looking at Natsu's character, he's either extremely dense that he doesn't realize Lucy's developing feelings towards him or he's always had his heart set on Lisanna. Both might be true, but I think the latter is truer.
On an unrelated note, I find it funny that I was going through my NaLi Stuff playlist and this video was going to start next when I saw this notification show up.
ILessThan3Trolling I highly doubt Natsu is COMPLETELY dense when it comes to females showing interest in him. After all, he still blushes and gets embarrassed whenever Lisanna pushes her iconic "Natsu's wife" thing on him. Yet, whenever he ends up in close proximity with a naked Lucy, his immediate response is a flat "Lucy's a pervert" or something similar, which doesn't really imply him having any feelings for her right?
Personally, I have just about accepted NaLu to be the final result in the official cannon, but I will continue to ship NaLi beyond even my dying breaths, and several subtle and minor things in the show just strengthen my faith. In the meantime, I've got a crap ton of NaLi AMVs to watch and some fan fic to read.

I think people likes Nalu since they we're together since episode 1 and has many scenes together but if you look deeper in the anime you'll realize Lisanna is much better regarding from the history and the current story it's more genuine and romantic
