Canali al Monte Cagno (alpinismo PD-/PD+). Abruzzo, Parco Naturale Velino-Sirente

Percorso: da Rocca di Cambio, si percorre la Strada Regionale 5 bis Vestina Sarentina. 2Km dopo Cerri, verso San Martino, si parcheggia (quota 1.330 m), e si imbocca una sterrata sulla sx, segnalata da una targa in marmo, e subito si gira a dx. Aggirata la collina sulla sx (1.500 m), si lascia il sentiero seguendo l’antico muro, che conduce al canale di salita, il Muraglione. Salita agevole (40°), anche se faticosa per la neve, poca e morbida. Uscita in cresta per una variante a maggiore pendenza, su neve farinosa e misto roccia. Cima (2.153 m) e anticima (2.147 m) del Cagno, cresta fino al Monte Ocre (2.202 m). Difficile discesa, causa neve non portante, per il ramo sx del canale del Ventaglio. Visita la rifugio Acquazzese e rientro per la stessa via

Route: from Rocca di Cambio, take the Strada Regionale 5 bis Vestina Sarentina. 2km after Cerri, towards San Martino, you park (altitude 1,330 m), and take a dirt road on the left, marked by a marble plaque, and immediately turn right. Having gone around the hill on the left (1,500 m), leave the path following the ancient wall, which leads to the climbing channel, the Muraglione. Easy climb (40°), although tiring due to the snow, which is little and soft. Exit on the ridge for a steeper variant, on powdery snow and mixed rock. Summit (2,153 m) and pre-summit (2,147 m) of Cagno, ridge up to Monte Ocre (2,202 m). Difficult descent, due to non-supporting snow, along the left branch of the Ventaglio canal. Visit the Acquazzese refuge and return via the same route
