Well, thank you. After the surgery to my face from the cancer, it just because difficult to do video. I'm alive, and we're both doing fine. I am so grateful for your kind words. Sometimes I think about returning to video, but largely I have returned to my writing. Thank you so much.

Thank you. I am doing reasonably well, and I continue to lead a productive life. Scarring from the cancer surgery has made speaking just difficult enough to make video production sort of unpleasant.

I think that part of our reduced schedule has been the restrictions, and of course some of it has been restricted resources, and beyond that I have had quite the energy this year as in the past, but that is most likely due to a substantially more physical lifestyle than I had previously. I suspect if you don't already have snow on the ground that it is on its way! Stay safe.

Damn, I’m from the Flint hills Kansas area, my semester just ended and I will be going into my 5th and final year of Architecture school. I am traveling this spring to visit friends I served with in the Marine Corps, friends that were a part of me growing up, and people I went to HS with, I stopped in Kentucky and saw a sassafras tree today for the first time, and RUclips’d it. I then saw your victory garden video next and had noticed your appearance had changed, and just watched your videos showing your progression through cancer. Gardening is certainly good for health, physically and mentally. Glad you guys get exercise and even lost weight. Eight years on RUclips is certainly a great achievement. Maybe you can do garden content once or twice a year (with minimal narration, however you want)
Well, I don't know that making more video is in the proverbial cards, but I appreciate the enthusiasm. Our gardening has been much more restricted in the last couple of years due to time demands. But we still get some good stuff from the garden.

Thanks. Yes, I know we have both changed over the years, but that seems to be a reasonable expectation with the passage of the better part of a decade. For myself, there have been some significant life events, not all of them good, happen in the last eight years, and those will affect a person.

Yes, I am still alive, and I appreciate your concern. The scar tissue that resulted from my cancer surgery has made it progressively difficult to speak clearly, so I'm not of much use in front of a camera anymore. But I am in good health, gainfully employed, and largely doing very well.
