Piano cover of the title track from Tales From The Loop, based of the artwork of Simon Stålenhag. This is NOT the main theme from the trailer or the title sequence, which is called Walk To School, in the soundtrack. Just finished the series on Amazon Prime, and quite enjoyed it. It was actually filmed near where I live (go Manitoba ^-^). Instantly fell in love with the music, and wasn't surprised Philip Glass helped compose the score. Hoping to do more from the soundtrack :)

When I heard this I thought "This sounds like the Leftovers"
Hadn't looked up who wrote the music to the show and immediately thought "wait, I know this chord progression" but couldn't place it. When I realized that it's Philip Glass, I instantly knew that I had heard an extremely similar theme from "The Truman Show". It's fascinating how such simple progressions can evoke all kinds of feelings and at the same time understand very well that that's exactly why Glass writes music in this particular style.
Here after seeing the Ukrainian boy play this song in the lobby of hotel in Kharkiv, I felt touched, in sorrow, saddened, heartbroken by the events in Ukraine. Innocent people should never recieve this kind of attack on their home country. I pray for everyone in Ukraine😢💔🇺🇦 #IStandwithUkraine
His playing literally moved me to tears. It felt like both a plea for help and a final goodbye. It’s horrifying, and I’m disgusted with Putin for attacking over 41 million people who are just like you and I, just trying to live. And now some of them won’t even see tomorrow.

day 4 and city hasn’t fallen
as a grain of hope for this I wanted to say that as of a few reports from the defenders of Kharkiv today the Russian assult had been pushed back and all Russian troops inside of the city were either routed, captured or destroyed.
Also here from the boy playing in the lobby in Ukraine…. I want to forever remember this if I hear it again in the future so I’m reminded of what this world should never deal with again once it’s over…
The world must stop suffering. God be with Ukraine.
Anyone know what happened to the boy from Kharkiv, I’d love to know.

My heart goes out to everyone in Ukraine especially the boy who was playing this song in that hotel lobby. I wish with my entire heart that war never happens and that young artist can go to school and he can become an amazing pianist. I wish that everyone stays safe. To everyone who continues to joke about this situation I hope you know that actions have consequences and that this is not a laughing matter, a lot of innocent people could get hurt because of this war so please be mindful that just because your home isn’t getting destroyed it doesn’t make it ok to joke about this

Hope no one ever tells your son that that's not a proper way to learn music some of us are visual learners and some of us are auditory learners, but however we're able to harness sound and harmonize, it doesn't really matter in the end how we learn it.

Love your covers. Just did my 2nd practice on the keyboard and got "most" of the 2 part intro of this song. I'll get that left hand transition soon enough. Feels really good but frustrating when I keep fat fingering other keys lol.

This serie are nice, with special atmosphere (I like).
But story is a little bit slow !

We stand with Ukraine. 🇺🇦 They stood under the control of other places for too long. They don't deserve this, they deserve freedom, and I truly hope that they take their land back.
Either it's the piano or its the very modern and kind of blunt attack o. The keyboard but I would suggest doing more work on Chopin and then move that sort of soft fluency to Glass. And I mean this is in a best possible constructive way. It's beautiful music in it's simplicity and as the ingenious writing is simple, it needs a very thoughtful dolce approach in my humble opinion. I played a lot of Bsch and Part when I was younger and there are so much fragrances that Glass brings to the tablo And I know there is a lot in the instrument as well. Electronic grand piano is inspired by Yamahas forte . I prefer the old style schimmel soft sounding and rolling key delivery.
But all of this is just my humble opinion.
