    I'm an American man that has traced my paternal DNA to the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria. Since finding this out I was excited and have started doing research. It's disappointing to see that Nigeria is no different than America when it comes to discrimination and stereotypes. It's actually worse in Nigeria because the people stereotyping you look like you.

    During my dating years I noticed yoruba men found it okey to let me pay for things when we were out compared to the igbo guys that liked giving me money to make my hair without even asking, I had to advice myself;
    I am happily married now with 4 children and my husband respects me and treats me like a queen! but I will not generalise all I can say is girls should learn the man during the dating period, that's what dating is for it's not for messing about, study the man, love is not blind, watch and pray before u marry!

    Most of the discussion about a Yoruba demon is mirthful and legendary, some of the characteristics of what you people said today is not a norms or acceptable habit among the Yoruba, like chasing after a married or pregnant woman,.
    concubinism is a trend common among people in general though a bad habit.
    All other things been said here are normal human being habits not peculiar to Yoruba men alone, most yoruba take care of their wife/wives and their children etc.

    Yoruba men take good care of their wivies, they allow their wivies to have a say and respect their wivies. Igbos are forced into marriage by their families. Their men think about the money spent and what family will say. Yoruba women are free and are always the authourity in the house. Love my Yoruba women. Igbos over spend on women the woman family. Yoruba prefer to spend on their children future like given them sound educational backing.

    Nonsense. This is bias, ignorance and generalisation. Why do you expect a man to just take care of you. It shows how imbalance Nigeria society is. Empower women and let them have sense of self-pride.

    This is so pathetic to hear ladies in 2018 talk openly like this. And this show has sponsors? Omg. So short sighted. And so much generalization. There is no way you can claim that this is not open tribalism. So funny how the host keeps saying we don’t want to be tribalistic, but the lady next to her turns around to make it about tribes 🤦🏼‍♀️. I’m trying to move back to Nigeria, so I’m watching more shows, this will definitely be a culture shock. I hope I will never be judged or analyzed based on my skin tone, tribe, religion or age after all the rights past heroes have died for so we can enjoy the privilege of being looked at individually 🚶🏾‍♀️

    In my own point of view not all men are the same... Mistakes people make is going into a relationship without consulting God to know if what they are doing is the right thing to do..
    In my point of view people should not chose cuz u might still go to that so called igbo caring guy but since he is not made for u he treats u bad then u start calling him bad names.
    No matter how demonic a tribe or religion is if God says u will marry from there he will make sure the person he brings to u will love and respect you the woman or man and bcuz something didn't work for ur friend or sister or anyone doesn't means it won't work for u that's how we step out from our blessings... My aunty was married to am igbo man and she was so badly treated till the point that she had to divorce with the man but her daughter my cousin is married to a yoruba guy and they live happily. Is not the matter of demonic or not the question is..... Is he made 4 u?????
    Those girls that fall into them u are letting the flesh or physical appearance over come u... U need to see him from within his soul
    Am not a Nigerian... So no beef on any tribe
    Am from CAMEROON 🇨🇲🇨🇲🇨🇲
    MERCI BEAUCOUP!!!
