Thanks , Dr. Chris, for your helpful channel. Nice to see our city's map in the video. Could you please make a video to teach us how to run arcpy functions for ArcGIS PRO inside Spyder? That would help many people, including myself. Appreciate.
@@MA-hy5fq i need some help please i wonna create desktop app with python to show and use tools / the map will be in arcgis pro / and i don t know how to create it / how to relate my app with the map
Thanks Dr Chris! Nice Channel!! FYI, I've just found that use arcpy to batch the "intersect" and "dissolve" tools have a faster process than batch the split tool. I used it to split a bunch of polylines into a grid of 25 m of resolution.
Hi, I want to ask you a question that is a bit unrelated with the video. In the future I would like to make a transition from geophysics (I'm going to study geophysics as a master's degree) to data science. As you have a lot of experience in the field, is it possible to work as a data scientist (or similar positions) in oil and gas or other fields in which you have to interpret geological data? Is there any job? I would like to leverage my knowledge in both geology and data science.
Dr. Chris of the Geosciences, This video is not friendly to viewers on their phones, I couldn’t see anything you typed in. Will need to rewatch on computer.
Very good beginner's course. Thank you very much.

Awesome. I like your teaching style.
we should join forces... Love ArcGIS Pro and QGIS ;-)
I may have to teach myself QGIS. ESRI products just work though.
This is AMAZING!! Thank you! Do you have a code to refresh the catalog directory for updated data?
I have question
In map layout the frame is always in vertically position but this is possible that rotate every time as per polygon direction
Can this be done using ArcPy and the ArcGIS Map within Power BI? Obviously, you would need the creator licenses, which I have.
Like the videos man GIS professional in TX!
