Really appriciate your videos, my class was without a computer science teacher for a year and have now only a few months to learn the course. Your videos have helped tremendously and I recommend them to anyone looking to revise or learn. Thanks a million man.
Honestly love your videos, Had CRAP ANNOYING teacher for computer science Y9&10, literally useless all she would do is go through trace tables barley explaining them and enjoy using the school punishment/behaviour system unfairly! Going to watch al the videos for paper 1 and 2 before the computer science exam in like two weeks! Good luck everyone. And sir you need more credit these videos need to be shared!!!
@@amnas9077 It was quite good tbh, but I feel like I could have got a level 9, but I mixed up 2 questions, on one of them I swapped black box and white box testing, and on the malware question I wrote trojan horse instead of trojan, so I feel like that is going to cause me to get a level 8😅
@@mahirulhuda6642 ohh dw a grade 8 is still awesome! Everyone makes mistakes and u never know the grade boundaries might be low, r u taking a level computing or something? You seem to care about ur computing grade alot
Hey, I had a question. Does original ASCII use 8 or 7 bits to represent a character? Because in the definition it says it's a 7-bit system, but doesn't original ASCII have 8 bits techinally because the first one is a parity bit? So in the exam would I say 8 bits or 7 bits?
It's 128 characters because it is 2 to the power 7. You may have thought 127 because when representing numbers, we always subtract one from the max value as 0 needs to be counted too.

Great source, we use it in our class! Keep it up!
Thank you. You explained it better than my teacher.:)
Just to let you know you added this video to the AQA paper 1 playlist twice. Less revision for me though, so I'm not complaining!
Ah thank you, I’ll sort them properly soon!
Found it thank you.
'The American Language'
Yes, I had a little chuckle at that one also.
You got me a 9, thanks!
This is A Level though 😂
nvm its not
Do I need to know all 127 ASCII characters in my head for A Level Computer Science?
Don’t think so…
probably lmao😭
Thank you so much❤😍
In the exam should i say Unicode uses 16 or 24 bits?
Hi sir, what calculations can come up in the OCR computer science paper?
binary addition and mantissas
does Unicode character set represent most of the world's languages?
Yes
who else is starting their paper 2 revision the week of their exam😅

@@amnas9077 How'd it go then?
@@mahirulhuda6642 it went alright, not too good not too bad, but definitely better than I expected. What about u?

I'd keep things simple and say 7 bits for original ASCII, 8 bits for extended ASCII
Dosnt ASCII Use 7 bits therefore has 127 characters and not 128 ?

@@MrBrownCS Thanks
