Those speeds with your anchor deployed are incredibly dangerous. When retrieving an anchor using and anchor ball you should go much more slowly than is shown in this video
I usually do when I’m with someone else but since I could not trust the person holding the camera to take me to the anchor without running over the line I just pulled in it myself!
Snagged on what!? Once the anchor comes off the seabed it’s safe unless the water was to get shallow at an unbelievable rate and it’s virtually on the surface at the end. Called an Alderney ring in UK.
Finally someone using this on an anchor that doesn't weigh 5lbs
If it were only a 5 pound anchor then you should not need a Anchor ball lol
Hello sir, Would this work with a sailboat with a small engine? 13 hp top speed of 6 knots.
not sure if it would be fast enough to pull the ring all the way down to anchor
Thanks for replying!

@MiamiLiving305 I meant that's for sharing. Sorry for any misprint, dam autocorrect/text!
Thank you.
Thanks for watching

I have done it like this countless times and I’m moving in a circular motion to the anchor
Drive back to the anchor, its easier than pulling it in by hand

Too fast, if that snagged, will cause damage to yout boat :(
If you don’t go that fast it just slides back down tho and the buoy won’t make it to the anchor

orry, it's very poorly and unclearly recorded.
one of my first videos so I have to agree. I need to redo this video!
... but it does nothing for the weight of the chain - which is where most of the weight is.
It’s easier to bring the floating anchor and chain in then pulling it straight up off the sea floor with all of its weight on your hands
