Some of the closed loop electro-pnuematic gear shifts allow the driver to 'stack up' several gearchanges which are automatically done as the engine speed drops far enough to allow the lext lower gear to be safely engaged. The 'stack' is automatically cancelled if the acc'r or up change is used. I say this because there were 3 or 4 times the driver was caught in a gear one or two (or three) higher than might be desired, because he just didn't have time to shift down fast enough.
I assume English is not your native language, as what you say has SFA to do with my comment... He was caught several times in too high a gear due to insufficient downshifts - no "if"s, "but"s or "maybe"s! I didn't say it wasn't a manual - actually the main point of my comment was the liability of multiple fast downshifts when using a manual. As for "video games" - FPS all the way ;-D - the driving ones suck!
